Alicorn OCs ahoy!
I don't know what the deal is with Alicorn OCs; they seem fine to me. This seems like a neat concept, but sounds a bit too dark for my tastes. The only kind of dark fics I like are grimdark horror fics.
I don't really have an opinion about Alicorn OC's, just that they seem a little... I don't know, like bragging, but not really.
Bit to grid for my tastes, I won't rate this so it won't go down in stars.

The normal does not have wings or a Horn
the Alicorn one has Wings and a Horn

It is possible to hide your horn and wings through the use of magic. The only problem is that it makes them invisible, but they can still be felt by others. This idea came from Lunacat, a dear writing buddy of mine in her story, Worlds Apart. The cutie mark is a little different. In this case, it has to do with how light is bent around the mark which makes you see something else instead of the normal mark. Blueblood will be explaining it much better in the new chapter.
I like the story idea here. Also, First.
