2393203 Yeah, its right after the events of Prototype 2, when [SPOILER ALERT!] Mercer is defeated by Heller and consumed. I did a lot of research on Alex so I could get his personality right. I probably spent more time researching for this then I ever did in school.

Kinda sad how this was a one shot I could see this story going farther, like how Alex starts the infection back up, how the ponies fight back, and how Alex either stops the virus like in prototype 1, or spreads it like in prototype 2. It would be awesome to see you continuing this story sometime in the near future.
2402028 Like I've said before, I might think about continuing if I get enough convincing feed back. The reason I made this a oneshot wasn't because of time issues, I just wasn't prepared to write anymore. It was a random idea I thought of while playing through Prototype again. If you have anything you'd like to suggest feel free, it might be nice to at least brainstorm any possible futures this fic may or may not have. All I could say for sure is that yes, most likely Alex would release the virus (yet again) and start a proverbial shit storm right over Ponyville.
I think you should continue this and have a good output on things. I wonder what Alex would be like if he had a freind and DIDN'T consume them.

One of my original thoughts on why he ended up there in the first place was that maybe Celestia sensed him somehow and sent him there to learn the magic of friendship. But then I thought it was funny because Alex would totally destroy the place first.

Word of advice, when it comes to making Dash join Mercer you'll need a very good reason for her betraying her friends such as: she believes that it will help them, that they betrayed her first, the virus overwrites her loyalties, or have Mercer make her like him (not an evolved)... please tell me you at least know that major plot point.

ok this may be my inner jerk but mercer can easly take ponyville at the party all he needs to do is ask pinky how many ponies are at this party and sence its pinky she will say the whole town then all mercer has to do is turn pinky into a bio bomb and all the ponies in the room are turned into infected or Evovled/prototypes. then its an easy win for him

When I came back to fimfiction today I saw multiple stories waiting for me none got me as excited as this one. I'm already imagining many ways this might or could have played out (I only do that for the best or worst in my eyes, guess which yours is). Personally I want Mercer to win (and infect Rainbow Dash).
