Currently, the chapter is at a little over 10k words and I just need to do the last part. Should be done by the end of the week, not counting an editing pause. I'm explaining references from the first book and dropping hints of stuff to come, both near and far, like no tomorrow. And this chapter is going to be both very dramatic, full of frustrating tension, and one part is absolutely hilarious in the sheer volume of dirty humor. It's time for Cloud Kicker to show up.

It's almost there at over 8700 words. Most of what's left to do is a conversation with Rarity and the walk before Vojin bumps into her. There shall be cameos, some of which are ponies we'll see again.

In contrast with the Prologue and the exploits of Starswirl and Embertouch, it's more emotional as acceptance of circumstances is worked on, along with hints of things to come soon. It's one of those where it's much more slice of life than adventure.

Now that I've gotten the second chapter done, I am going to settle into a back and forth approach to TEOE and my main work in the same verse, Protecting Harmony. That really only means I'm going to do a chapter of one story, then do one for the other, then back again. It will make updates a little slower, but I won't have any really big gaps in updating either story.

Just submitted the story and first chapter for mod approval. I was lucky enough to get someone to help me with editing and it took longer than my initial Friday posting plan. Of course, that means the quality will be higher, so I'd say it balances out.
