I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

12 Years on FiMFiction! · 4:24pm April 2nd

While the official date is actually yesterday (April 1), I always celebrate the anniversary of me creating an account here on FiMFiction on April 2 so as to avoid having it associated with April Fool's Day.

Just like every year, I'm celebrating this anniversary with a Q & A session. And I'll post the answers in a follow-up blog about a week later. The rules are the same as they were last year, and are as follows:

Happy Birthday, Madeleine Peters (And Happy Early Birthday, Ashliegh Ball) · 3:56pm March 30th

Today, March 30, is Madeleine Peters' birthday. She is the talented young woman who voiced Scootaloo across all nine seasons of FiM. She apparently moved to LA sometime after Season 8 or Season 9 entered production, which resulted in Scootaloo getting a singing double for the last two seasons. In contrast to her fellow CMC voice actresses, Madeleine was already at least a teenager when recording began. I don't know if she's had any roles since then, but hopefully she'll become a prolific voice

Episode Re-Review: To Change a Changeling · 3:46pm March 30th

After "Campfire Tales", the next several episodes got bumped around in terms of airdate compared to production order. This episode was the nineteenth episode in production order, but was the seventeenth to air. By now, all the focus was on the big theatrical movie for 2017 that was about a month away from premiering. This episode would also mark an abrupt end for Jonna Lewis and Kristine Songco as solo story editors, starting with "Daring Done?" Josh Haber would return to the editor's chair to

Episode Re-Review: Triple Threat · 4:22pm March 23rd

Now it's back to FiM, and back to Season 7. Season 7 finally seemed to find its footing at the very end of its first half, with the back to back successes of "Discordant Harmony" and "The Perfect Pear". The same could not be said for Equestria Girls, which debuted three specials meant to be combined into a full length movie, but only one of which ("Movie Magic") was any good. Still, Hasbro bit the bullet and finally greenlighted a spin-off series in the looset sense of the word, a five minute

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Mirror Magic (Magical Movie Night, Part 3) · 4:26pm March 16th

So it is that we come to the third and final act of this special, and what at the very least counts as the black sheep of the lot in the form of "Mirror Magic". Compared to the two previous specials, this one directly focuses on its villain, albeit one we've seen before. But hey, Queen Chrysalis' big return in "To Where and Back Again" seemed to be received quite well all things considered. And Meghan McCarthy demonstrated that reusing villains didn't have to be a death sentence given the way

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Movie Magic (Magical Movie Night, Part 2) · 5:32pm March 9th

Despite this and "Dance Magic" and "Mirror Magic" being made part of the same story, different writers penned all three specials. This one was written by Noelle Benvenuti, who had been absent from the writing scene since the lackluster "Made in Manehattan" that we now know was changed from its original planned story involving Flim and Flam. A shame, rather. But more likely, real world problems were to blame for Noelle's abrupt absence, given that her mother died suddenly in 2014, not unlike the

Special Re-Review: Equestria Girls: Dance Magic (Magical Movie Night, Part 1) · 5:50pm March 2nd

I'm going by release date for the specials I didn't cover during my initial re-reviews back in 2021, even though we now know when some of the specials are actually supposed to take place. In any case, this special is one of three that, when combined together, equals the total run time of a full length Equestria Girls movie. From here on out, Hasbro would not greenlight another movie, but after these specials it would greenlight a "spin-off" series in the form of five minute YouTube shorts, a

Episode Re-Review: The Perfect Pear · 5:27pm February 24th

Well, it's official, "Make Your Mark" is dead. And G. M. Berrow, the G5 showrunner, has left Hasbro. As of yet, no explanation has been given as to her deparation, it could be entirely unrelated to G5. Still, given that she was involved with G4 first with chapter books (including a short lived Daring Do series) and then with episodes, and even voiced Zoom Zephyrwing in "A New Generation", it's sad to see her leave.

Happy Birthday, Nicole Oliver · 4:14pm February 22nd

Today is Nicole Oliver's birthday, she is the talented woman who voiced Princess Celestia and Cheerilee across FiM's nine seasons. She was also the original voice of Spitfire, and voiced at least one minor character in the form of the elderly groundskeeper in "Shadow Play, Part 1". Interestingly, Nicole wasn't originally planned to voice Princess Celestia, that was intended to be Kathleen Barr. But I for one am glad that didn't happen, I can't imagine Princess Celestia sounding anywhere near as
