It’s been a busy morning! Good thing we got to bed early, as around 3 A.M. there was a frantic pounding on my door. It was from a mare I had never seen before! She identified herself as Cherry’s sister, Ruby Jubilee! Although I thinks she got the wrong idea when Ember sat up next to me. Oh well… my fault, I guess.

Early this morning Ember and I boarded the train heading south. Ember mapped out our route which led us to the end of the line… a city called Dodge Junction. When we stepped off the train, I was blown away by how the town looked like something out of an old wild west film! I’m kinda embarrassed to admit it, but I was so lost in the moment that I kinda acted a bit… childlike. Oh well, what’s done is done.

Ember hasn’t been herself since we arrived at Derpy’s house. She’s been rather distant lately. The last straw was when I told her supper was ready, only to find her sitting there looking out the window. Now knowing what else to do, I went to her and put my hands on her shoulders, waiting for her to be ready.

I’m finally home! Home… that word keeps making me smile, as Equestria really is my home now! I… uh… never really had a home before. Not like this anyways! A place to go back to with those I care about. I mean… I did have that back on Earth! Loved ones, I mean! But… sorry, I’m not making any sense, am I? I should probably move this along.

What an ending to the day! Where do I even begin?! At the beginning, I suppose. Well, it all started this evening. Ember and I had an eventful day, what with gathering as is our custom, so we decided to call it an early night. I awoke as the general alarm was raised to a rather warm feeling on my back. While it had become… somewhat of a regular occurrence, waking up with Ember’s claws on my back or her arms around me is still a bit… I don’t know.

Well… this is it! Everypony is lining up in battle formation and waiting for instructions. Amethyst Star will handle organizing the defense! I know she can do it! The plan is for Rarity to channel the power of the crystal, drop the barrier, hold the line while I run into Tartarus alone cloaked, find Arc and get him out of there before the demons have time to react! With any luck, this will be a seamless operation!

Ember and I went back to the Hydra Marshes today. I thought the Marquis would like to see the fruits of his humor. He’s actually a fairly personable fellow when you get to know him! Even gave me a piece of his… skin to make a matching cape for Eidolon’s Ward! Not actually sure how that works, but I’m sure Mythic Honor can make it happen.

My friends and I met at the library before started out. We hadn’t gotten but a few steps before Derpy ran up to us and insisted on coming along! That was all well and good, but it turns out a lion’s share of the TOWN turned out to help us! Including Equestria’s very own Hero’s of Light! With this much help we should have no trouble saving Arc AND holding off any demon resistance that might try to break out! What could possibly go wrong?!

Today my friends and I came up with a plan to get Arc out of Tartarus! I went to see the Hammers about getting that strange crystal set into a pendant and some armor for my friends and I! This will be the most dangerous undertaking ever! And, I… I didn’t want to leave without saying goodbye to you! If I make it back to Ponyville, it will be a miracle!

The ride back to the hideout was a blur! But somehow I made it back in time! Mythic Honor used the tendril the Marquis gave me to make some kind of medicine. Ember drank it and in a few minutes time, woke up! I remember her getting up… but not much more. Considering the day I had, I probably just passed out from fatigue or something.

My friends and I went to the Canterlot Library today in hopes of finding a book that would help us rescue Arc! I also scheduled a meeting with the princesses to confess my wrongdoings. Hopefully they will defer any sentence against me until after we’ve gotten Arc out of Tartarus!

Twilight here! I know I don't usually write in you, but... I really messed up! In fact, I messed up SO BAD that I will NEVER forget this day! The human I wrote about some time ago... I went to his new place with Spike because I thought he needed help! I thought he had murdered a pony! There was blood on nearly everything around him including his own clothes and lips!

Somehow the two of us made it through that mess! We awoke back on Derpy's couch, none the worse for wear! I gotta say, Derpy was a completely different mare after that! She was almost... normal, I suppose. I really don't blame her for her behavior before, as a lifetime of betrayal and neglect can have that effect on anyone! In my opinion, getting that weight off her shoulders was holding her down and keeping her from moving forward.

Derpy told me she left "home", if you can call it that, and made her way to Ponyville. She set up housekeeping in the little house she's in now and... I don't know. She didn't really have a next step planned out though. But I can't really blame her for that! Derpy was lost, confused, abandoned, betrayed and pregnant on top of that! All things considered, she did okay!
