Two powerful beings on opposite ends of the spectrum. One ruled her land with kindness and order. The other saught to rule the world with his cahos and wickedness. Natural enemies. From birth they were doomed to fight. To seek the others destruction. But were they always like this? No. They once enjoyed much simpler times. Times when war and hate were nothing but a bad dream. When youth and arrogance worked hoof in hoof. When young love, seemed as though it would last an eternity. These are the times the two have forgotten. Until now.

After losing her beloved, Celestia finds it difficult to continue on without him. But, she should be fine, right? It's not the first time she lost somepony close to her. So why is she so broken about it now?

Discord will have no idea what to make of what he'll learn.

What? Suppose I should back up a little. I'm just your average guy. I try to be nice to folks, when I'm near them, but mostly I just like to be alone with my stories. In hindsight, I should have been more suspicious about the old man in the bookstore, but no point crying over it now. I'll admit, this is exciting! A whole new world of magic and whimsy to explore? Count me in!

...It's a shame though. It's not quite as nice as I expected...

Celestia is a young pony who loves too read.
One day, when her father goes on a trip and accidentally takes the wrong path, he ends up at a beast's mansion. In order to save him, Celestia sacrifices herself for his freedom, now she is his prisoner, or was.
The two begin to get really close and may end up falling in love

When Discord stumbles upon a tower, he meets Celestia, the lost princess. Together they go on an adventure trying to get Celestia to live her dream of seeing the lanterns, only there's one problem, Celestia's mom.

Note: Includes a little violence, only in one chapter though

It took Twilight a long time to build up the courage to ask Applejack out, but she finally did it. What she hadn't prepared for was the two of them triggering an Attunement, an incredibly rare magical reaction that unicorn fillies call 'True Love's Kiss.'

And the date was going so well, too.

After having a falling out with Discord about a misunderstanding, the draconequus sparks the Mane Six's interest in his past with Princess Celestia. What really happened all those years ago? Well, after visiting the Princess, she tells them that there IS more to the past than just Discord trying to take over. There was something that happened much sooner than that. Something that the Six don't expect.

Celestia and Discord were best friends.

The Six sit back as Celestia unravels the untold story of how she and Discord met, their budding friendship, and how it all came to the moment of Discord's takeover.
