The town of Hollow Shades, the home of the bat ponies, is in a bit of a pickle, as of recently.

As common knowledge suggests, if there is anything bat ponies love more than the night, it is mangoes.

And boy, you better believe they love themselves some mangoes.

But even for them, this problem is a bit too... big for them.

This is an entry for the 2017 writing contest of the Bat ponies and Thestrals Group.

The Halloween after her actions at the Fall Formal, Sunset Shimmer isn't a popular student. In an attempt to show she's changed, Sunset volunteers to check over the list of costumes for Canterlot High's Halloween Party. Making sure they're all appropriate, Sunset goes a little over the top. Also, Trixie doesn't help.

After a mishap with a senile, half-blind janitor mistaking her clothes for a wad of towels, Sunset Shimmer has to find a way to get home without being seen. Unfortunately, her plans don't exactly work out the way she'd hoped...

I've seen a lot of these types of fics as of late, and I broke down and joined the bandwagon. Honestly, even in the first movie, I've always liked Sunset Shimmer's character, and the second movie just made me like her character more, so I kinda wanted to do a Shimmer Fic anyway. I'm not really intending for this to be edgy, but honestly, some of life's funniest moments can come from a rather awkward situation... Hopefully I can make you laugh at least once.
