Five years have passed, and the Night Goddess finds herself in a position that she had waited long for. Death.

Sunsets, they are full of color and are the very symbol of romance. But, as all beautiful things, they have a darker, sadder side to them. Because to some, they do not bring happiness and joy, they bring mourn.

Not many things in Trixie's life have gone well. Her trips to Ponyville have been proof of this. But for six years, everything that could have gone right did, and she loved it. But do these things ever really last?

Chrysalis, the last Queen of the changelings, is dying. With her death, her children will die, and the changelings will cease. She has one final plan, a coup to save her race, her children. She must make a new Queen, one strong enough, and smart enough, to save her people. It will be her legacy, and her greatest achievement. Too bad she never asked Twilight if she wanted to help
