Rainbow Burst -- a unicorn version of Rainbow Dash and Princess Celestia's personal student -- has been causing more mischief than usual around the castle (much to Blueblood's chagrin). Deciding the best thing would be to give Rainbow more responsibility and should spend some time away from the castle, Princess Celestia sends Rainbow to Ponyville to oversee the Summer Sun Celebration. While there, she and Spike meet some very odd (but familiar) ponies.

Twilight's been having weird, unfamiliar urges ever since she became an alicorn. Like an intense desire to grow flowers, or the fact she can't stop chewing on her wings when she's distracted. As it turns out, you can't just suddenly inherit the magic of all three pony tribes without getting the instincts to match, and instincts can be a powerful thing. In the season seven finale of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. When Starswirl the Bearded returns from Limbo along with the rest of the Pillars and the Pony Of Shadows, he does not bother listening to Starlight Glimmer at all about whether they should even attempt to reform Stygian.

But what if something in Starlight snapped that day? What if being ignored, gaslighted, and pushed around lit a fuse in Starlight. What if that confrontation in the library went VERY differently.
