What will happen to everyone's favorite changeling Royal Guard when Chrysalis comes to town?

This is my take on what will happen 10-12 years in the future of the fantastic story The Changeling of the Guard by vdrake77 when A Canterlot Wedding takes place.

The sun has gone out over Equestria, sending Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends off to Canterlot to deal with whatever new villain has caused the disaster.

...thankfully, it turns out to be a far smaller problem than anticipated.

Quick Wits always wanted to join the royal guard ever since the first time he went on a trip to the royal training grounds back when he was just a young colt still in school. Unlike most, he wants to join the Night Guard.

Like ponies, changelings can get pretty paranoid at times. After all, it's not every day that a changeling gets kicked out of the hive for being a pony.

It is a well-known fact that motherhood changes a mare. In Cadance's case, it seems to be changing her into Princess Celestia.

A tense hostage situation ensues when Twilight Sparkle refuses to release the heir to the Crystal Empire into the custody of her father. Can Shining Armor negotiate a solution to keep the Princesses of Friendship and Love from tearing Equestria apart with civil war?

This story is a sequel to Tantabus, Mk. II

The new and improved Tantabus has behaved itself thus far, but Luna has delayed telling Celestia about it. Until one night when it jumps into Celestia's dreams to say hi and inadvertently reveals itself. Luna must now introduce Celestia to her little bundle of self-aware psychic dream energy sooner than she imagined.

Trying to patrol the dreams of every pony in Equestria can be stressful. To ease her burden, Luna retools the Tantabus to turn nightmares into good dreams instead of vice versa. Aware of her mistakes from last time, she tests it out thoroughly, making sure there are no unexpected behaviors. And as far as she can tell, there are none.

Except that it's started calling her "Mom".

Faced with the prospect of possibly creating life, Luna seeks out Twilight's advice and assistance. With a little luck, they can get this all sorted out before the sun rises.

I'm a palace guard.

So, my life is pretty dull. All I do is stand around waiting for something I'm guarding to be under threat.

And since that never happens, I gotta find a way to entertain myself.
