As much as you enjoy working with someone so nice that has accepted your place in Equestria so completely, you feel rather frustrated at the ever increasing insanity of the confectioneries that she makes in Sugarcube Corner, and she drags you deeper and deeper into "special projects" that you hardly understand. Apparently Twilight has something to do with these things as well.

Persuaded by Pinkie Pie to loosen up, Twilight Sparkle uncharacteristically deviates from her routine and finds a street that does not exist on any map, a street that should not be there. Note: As you may have already guessed this is TwiPie fic, but not really a romantic shipping fic (hence no romance tag). It still is a teeny-tiny itty-bitty shippish. Not the “OMG, let's make out and have some magical babies” shippish. Not even “I love her, and she doesn't notice it, sob, sob” shippish. More like “There is some really good air between them, that could lead to future developments, but neither of them notice it yet” shippish. Really, really mild. Or so I think...
But just in case there is someone who absolutely hate anything – and I mean anything – even vaguely considered a ship I'm putting this warning here.

SF (canon species only; no humans) Ponies were magically and genetically engineered to be the perfect servitor race. They are powerful, adaptable, intelligent and completely under the control of their creators. A laboratory accident frees one such pony from her mental chains, but how can one mare save herself and the rest of her kind if she doesn't even know she's a slave?
This is not the Equestria you know and these are not your little ponies... not yet, anyway.
