This story is a sequel to The Love of a Queen
The Queen is dead.
Mother is dead.
For the first time since they can remember, the changelings are without a leader. Most of their army has fallen, and they are far from the hive that they call home. Weary, wounded, and in mourning, they make their long journey back to the hive. To bolster their spirits, and to find closure in losing their family, three changelings, Silverfang, Mist Rider, and Mirage, speak of memories about their mother.
While Canterlot might see Chrysalis as nothing more than an evil Queen, the changelings tell a very different story.
After Shining Armor and Princess Cadance all but obliterate the changeling army with their magic, Queen Chrysalis awakes to find the twisted corpses of her subjects. Blinded by grief, she's forced to make the decision between enacting her revenge against the Princesses that caused this calamity or saving her remaining subjects. It shouldn't be such a difficult decision, but what if saving her people means sacrificing herself?
Just how strong is Chrysalis' love for her changelings?

We Will Always Remember
You used to be something.
Everypony enjoys myths and ponytales, even if they know such things aren't real. Alicorns fighting against a spirit of chaos? An ancient princess trapped in a library under a tree, waiting to be found? Quite enchanting and fantastic tales yes, but nonetheless as fictional as Daring Do and other such stories. At least, that's what Rarity used to think.
She doesn't anymore.
Dedicated to Annuska for being as amazing a writer as she is a friend.

Probably the best thing to happen in Discord's long life was finding the magic of friendship. As much as the old Chaos Lord might complain, without it he would never have found so many that were dear to his heart.
When that heart finds itself empty, he comes to the Princess to ask a favor: allow him the opportunity to bring friendship to other dark hearts. All she has to do is lend him a statue.
The rest is in his chaotic claws.
