It’s a surprise to me, too. Check it out: The Hesperus Gate.
So, how about that site update, huh? Personally, I just hope Knighty makes the [ right_insert ] and [ left_insert ] tags work again.
If, by some chance, you don't already know about the TV Tropes Wiki, then there are two things you need to know:
So, in my blog post about the season 6 finale, I joked about needing the scrap all my headcanon about changelings. That prompted some thoughtful comments about why sticking to canon isn't necessary. I started writing a reply, and as I gathered my thoughts together I realized there was enough for another blog post, and here we are.
First: Can I say I friggin' called it?
Ditzy again raised her forehooves. “Remember this day, everypony! Henceforth, it shall be known as Muffin Monday!”
“But today’s Thursday!” Sassaflash retorted.

“Well, I really like it! And the rest of the album, too, even though all the songs sound the same.”
“How are we supposed to read 800 pages of this?”
“Because clearly Rainbow Dash is dating Pinkie Pie.”
Ditzy sighed. “Did you hear that from Rainbow Dash?”
“My daughter? What made you think Dinky Doo is my daughter?”
In my note to the final chapter, I alluded to my initial plans for the story being very different. Now, I’ll describe it in more detail, because I love hearing myself talk.
I referenced/stole a lot of things in this story. Some of these were other ponyfics, so it’s my duty to come clean and/or share the love.
