The leveling speed is not bad since the exp threshold gets wider and wider you could also add an exp modifier where lower level fight give way less. That way once he hits 10 it will be a slower power up.

Yeah I guess I'm just so used to only playing D&D like twice a month so it feels like it takes months for my characters to level up, but in reality of all the sessions were done back to back several days in a row like the most recent chapters were written/published the level pacing would probably not be that different
The good old take 2 levels in Fighter because Wizard's capstone ability sucks, and you need extra hp and healing plus, Action Surge is nice to cast TWO spells in one turn. You will only miss out in a ASI but it's fine. Pick up dulling and get a shield to get a 20 in ac and a free +2 with that Moonblade of yours.
Speaking of the forgotten realms, what of the outer planes? (Sorry if I nerd out) The outer planes, like the Nine Hells, are canonically outside of normal universes meaning that raw, you can fuck off to another multiverse by accident. If an outer plane is even somewhat connected to this place, there is a small chance he can go back to the forgotten realms, but there is probably a reason it is called forgotten. Anyways, ANY summoning should say that you have some connection to the forgotten realms' outer planes. Of course, that can just be Limbo, and, um, good luck if that's your only connection. But if there is a connection to the elemental planes now, that's something you can work with. But for good measure, ask about myths, legends, or ANYTHING about Yggdrasil. I mean, the weave is there, so it must be connected to the world tree in some way, right?
Also, quick theory on Luna: she is an alt-universe/multiverse/omniverse version of the Dark Maiden, and that's why her mana feels the same, and the Moonblade just looks at her AS the Dark Maiden.

<.< Whaaaaat a fighter dip? That's crazyyy
>.> I had a long response to the rest of your comment but realized it revealed too much and I don't know how to word it in a way that it doesn't do that, so I'll just say:
I can neither confirm nor deny anything you've brought up here

asjkfbaejlnfl Oh, this is fun. You're going to make me stew on my crack-shot theories that need all of my knowledge of the forgotten realms' lore. Funnily enough, my knowledge of MLP lore is mainly from fics, so I am heavily gambling on the forgotten lore so I just hope that the world tree is connected to this realm.
Now, on an unrelated note, my half-elf (No, what are you talking about? This fic totally did not influence the race) Artificer Battle Smith is complete. All I need is a name for them, but at least their Steel Defender is a tiny magic-punk baby dragon :D his force-empowered rend is a tiny breath attack. He is so cute :)

Also think of it this way for a campaign session its can be days and weeks in game time but for us its maybe a few hours. For one of my games my character went from 1 to 20 in 2 years worth of sessions. In the game world it was more then 12 years of adventures. My character even changed age brackets during that time frame. So don't worry to much about the levels. Enjoy your writing and don't burn yourself out. And don't forget that in 3.0 and 3.5 there was no level cap with the big bads of MLP they can easily surpass level 20 in many ways.
So Ignis now has The Moonblade, and it will have 5 runes placed upon it during his tenure as its wielder.
I am curious as to what the runes are, and what Ignis' rune shall be, but I suppose I'll just have to wait.
I suspect that it will have the "finesse property" rune to allow for Ignis using dexterity to fight, though.
About multiclassing, a 2-level fighter dip does seem fitting, although I must provide a quick reminder that the Bladesong does not work while wielding a shield.
I would also say that if a balance between healing and health increase is to be prioritised, then it is possible that a 1-2 level dip in Cleric (with Luna/The Dark Maiden as the deity in question) may work well, as it also doesn't distupt spellslot progression.
As a wizard, Arcane domain fits as it would provide some good cantrip coverage (you mentioned Green-Flame Blade in the past) and also the Channel Divinity allows turning one Celestial, Elemental, Fey, or Fiend per use although reading the text means you don't get the banishment feature (the table of level and CR says "Cleric Level" although the text of the CD does not specify cleric level 5 for the upgrade to banishment).
You could, however, pick the War domain to get some melee benefits such as an always prepared Shield of Faith (which does conflict with Shadowblade for concentration although you have the Moonblade now) and a limited use of the Guided Strike CD to add +10 to an attack if it is important to land the hit and it looks like it won't.
Ignis also has 15 Wisdom, so Cleric spells would be rather useable especially with just another +1 at the next ASI (which could come from a half feat such as Observant, taking him up to a workable +3 as Cleric spellcasting mod.

Fun Fact: The lore reason for Faerûn being called The Forgotten Realms is actually because there used to be many natural portals between there and Earth, which is the reason for us on earth having myths of things like dragons and griffons and stuff, but those portals have vastly dissapeared long before the modern day so everyone has forgotten about them and the world on the other side, thinking that everything related to them were just myths and legends the like.

Also back on the Cleric multiclass idea it gives 3 cleric cantrips (guidance, spare the dying, and toll the dead all seem like good choices) and a handful of preparation slots for 1st-level cleric spells. (Upon taking the first 2 levels, if you go for both at the same time, Ignis would have 4 slots for this and getting a +1 to wisdom next ASI would improve it to 5)
Then, Ignis could prepare:
And so on, with another option being Detect Magic for the use as a ritual.
In Ignis' place I would try and take Cleric spells that aren't concentration (although all would be known and just swapped out on a Long Rest, which is 4 hours for Ignis) so as to not conflict with others, though that depends on how much combat Ignis is going to be seeing in his future.
I just remembered another possible thing:
If he went with Cleric wanted to do something cool, Ignis could use the level-ups to get his Cleric levels at the same time that he makes his Oath to Luna, which would be both Thematic and Fitting.
I realise that he is saving his level ups for the simulated long rests when in a dire situation though, although how long eill he keep them until he decides to just use them (only to have a dire situation show up almost immediately afterwards)

Hey ignoring everything you said, how did you do that 3 blue star thing? I've been manually typing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ whenever I want to break up sections of a chapter and it's annoying
11934766
o: that does sound cute
Todays chapter will resolve the multiclass question mark, so I won't make you all have to think about it for too long

In the comment editor, there is a button next to the list buttons and the link button that looks like horizontal line. This is a page break button.
When clicked, it creates the following without spaces: [ hr ]
This creates a Page Break as seen below:
And as seen above
