A leftover from converting the greentext to prose. I somehow managed to miss that despite multiple read throughs.
Would Midnight be insulted or grin with too many teeth if he started putting up "Beware of Pony" signs under the "No Trespassing" signs on the fence?
๐๐ nice story))
I see that Midnight understands people rather poorly, or is only familiar with them from one, unpleasant side.
Ponybot waste on John's property - is it there without his knowledge?
If I were him, I would still look, maybe there are spare parts there that would suit Midnight in case of emergency repairs.
for another part., someone appears - for another part, someone appears
Hmm, yeah, food poisoning isn't fun to go through. You really can get pretty delirious trying to fight off that crap.
Reading this, the relationship between these two, I can't help but think about this video.
I am really enjoying this story. Youโre already giving us pretty frequent updates, but even so, the wait for each new chapter feels endless. Need more!
This gave me a thought. What if this is a test? Meaning, the company that made her dumped her in the junkyard to see what she does; how independent she can be.
Awsome job on this one its a great story with good character dynamic

The wait isn't going to get any easier with the next update - but we are close to some answers that will end some speculation.
In anime weeb speak. She is growing out of her tsun-tsun phase and becoming a dere character. Did I ever say that I love the characterization and their dynamics.

It wasn't until after I started this and seeing so many people use the term that I learned what tsundere meant. I guess I sort stumbled into a characterization that I never necessarily planned, and didn't know had a particular niche. Some of the folks reading the green as I updated starting using the term 'moondere' instead. After all, she's no Sunbutt knockoff, lol.
I like this story. I've read stories before where someone has a lot of knowledge about something and decides to show that off in every piece of the fic that they can help, whether it fits or not. This fic actually includes it as part of the story and shows knowledge of cars in a way that is quite entertaining.

Got it, thanks.

There were several goals/challenges I had in my head when Midnight first started taking form and I had an idea of what I wanted to do. One of them specifically was - once I had the setting and how things would initially pan out - to make it approachable.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a selfish writer - I write for myself first and foremost. But that being said, I know cars can be a niche topic, and I wanted to have fun weaving one of my passions into the story without making it overwhelming. Yet I didn't want to go the other way and treat every reader as if they've never seen a car in their life. It's a balancing act that takes a little bit of reservation and sharing things that make sense in the context of what one would see in a junkyard without being too far out.
There's many automotive tales and notes I wouldn't mind writing in, but they're too much of a stretch as far as rarity, prototype/experimental stuff, etc. So we end up with some little spotlights that I ended up being included that I had to read up on to ensure accuracy. Or discover for the first time.
Tsundere much?
"YES, FOOLISH MORTAL! KNEEL IN THE GLORY OF TSUNDERE MOON! baka..."
Love seeing the interactions from her perspective.
I ship it
So this was a gambit to see if people would go for much-closer-to-real-life units. This certainly explains the odd powering mechanisms and rather extreme attempts to make her feel as biological as possible...
