If someone can come up with a decent reason why this site isn't completely full of irredeemable shitheads, I won't leave.
As it is, I find it's less and less "fanfiction site" and more and more "illustrated collection of obnoxious writing tropes and general persons of subaverage intelligence".
They say that the people who live through change are always convinced that everything's going to shit even if it's constantly improving, but I don't see it here.

We're in a lull period for the pony fandom right now so it's to be expected most of the stuff being put up is stereotypical fanfiction.net tier as that's more or less the most active users right now.
When S5 starts up things have a better shot of improving.

Who do you think reads stereotypical fanfiction that's just people deciding to combine as many awesome things that they can fit into a blender with no understanding of how to actually construct plot in a blender and proclaiming the end result to be the best thing ever?
Either that or cookie-cutter "character in equestria" stories that are LoHAV ripoffs without the shitty self-insert-transformed aspect or fucking Terridax (seriously, fuck him, I don't get why he's so popular at ALL) .
Anyway, point is that when the show starts up again the more sensible masses will come back.

2788909 Man, I know how that feels. It doesn't help that I have three hours of new stuff to watch every Tuesday night and two of those shows air at the same time. The rate my to-watch list grows is at an exponential rate and those are never fun to work with.
As for your dilemma, I'm not sure what to really tell you. You've been on here for a while so I feel like that means something, just a little bit. Otherwise, I'll go with a strategy I've heard of a while ago and I'll tell you to quit. Just leave, right now. Go. Don't look back. I know that feel. Bronyland used to have an entire listing available, from S1 to S4, but Hasbro smacked their hand and sent them to time-out. That would have made it way easier to grind through a season to make more room for other T.V.
