One day Discord had a wonderful idea. It was too peaceful in Equestria. There was a dire need for some chaos. What's more chaotic than a human displaced to Equestria. A human displaced to Equestria with all his memories and lively possessions. Come to find out this human has immense knowledge of both his Homeworld, Earth and Equus. His plan fails and now there's a reasonably angry human in Equestria. One he can't send back. Wait he managed to get Discord to help him in finding someone who could. Now the human has a small part of Discord's power and a mission. First he's got to set up his home.

This story contains Profanity in the form of a protag who swears like a sailor. Dark and insensitive humor in the form of making references to world events. In addition to this the protag uses humor as a coping mechanism so dad jokes beware. Lastly this story contains Violence and Gore not extremely detailed on the gore part but still warning yall folks. Also this story will make references to many media franchises like Fallout, Star Wars, MHA, the Hunger Games, and many others. These aren’t full fledged crossovers of worlds only equipment, vehicles, and possibly the design of characters. Finally there will be a wide variety of military equipment including small arms, artillery, ground, sea, and air vehicles referenced in this fanfic. History nerds unite.

My goal is to upload at least one chapter per week unless I hit a severe case of writer’s block.

The goal of this story is to be an introduction to me as a writer and the world of the Keeper. I hope to learn a great deal from this short fanfic so please leave your feedback both positive and negative. Just keep it constructive. I’ve waited long enough, it's time to see how you like it. Plus if you don’t like this story in particular Janon is kind of a side character so you can still enjoy the expansive world of the Keeper without reading this. Chapters are generally presented in chronological order, but certain events from different parts of the world occur simultaneously so some overlap and inconsistent chronology is to be expected. OC and artwork attributions included in author's notes where appropriate.

What began as a studious endeavor into the origins of tribal magic quickly becomes rife with bedraggled exhaustion as a strange message invades Twilight's dreams, forcing her research to take a drastic new course that leads her on an adventure all across Equestria. For every answer she finds, yet more mysteries arise. What is the source of the daunting dreams which plague her at every moment's rest? Will she see with eyes unclouded... or lose sight of what's truly important?

Takes place after S7/The Movie, but before S8. Story was drafted when S8 was brand new, so it does not take anything from S8 and later into account.

Sunburst flunked out of Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns and had little to aspire for before the Lunar Rebellion, but the new regime had plans for ponies like him. Former students of Celestia’s prestigious schools were offered jobs by the Lunar state, with Sunburst himself taking one of these offers up and finding himself working for the Imperial Institute of Arcane Sciences as a researcher and magic practitioner.

Yet on the job, Sunburst is told about what became of her old friend Starlight Glimmer. Out on the Equestrian periphery, his old friend preaches an ideology advocating the elimination of cutie marks and enforces this worldview on her followers through a dystopian system of control and manipulation. Upon hearing of it, Sunburst can barely believe it.

Then he's ordered to investigate Starlight by using magic he can barely pull off.

It can only go so well.

Equestria and the Crystal Empire have fallen to the Changeling Hegemony, led by the brutal Queen Chrysalis at the head of a mechanized horde of guns and tanks. Princess Cadance stayed in the Crystal Empire; Princess Twilight stayed in Equestria. Chrysalis rules the continent, only defied by Nova Griffonia, the poor Griffon colony in the north.

Across the ocean, the Griffonian Reich pledges to reclaim its lost territory, sundered by revolution a generation ago. While the Alicorn Sisters retreat to New Mareland, Princess Flurry Heart and Shining Armor turn to Aquileia, the Republic born out of the ashes of the Griffonian Reich. The Kaiser of the Reich is only a child, subject to a regent bent on war and conquest.

Flurry knows the Reich and Chrysalis have worked together.

She knows that war is coming to Aquileia.

She knows that Celestia and Luna abandoned her mother and Twilight Sparkle.

She knows that the world is on fire, and she is the last true Princess of Ponies.

She knows she will go home.

The pony known as Jungle Trek hasn't had the luckiest life so far. Being born in the Tenochtitlan Basin far from the oversight of Canterlot, his "adventures" have consisted of bouncing from one occupation to another, holding himself together while other foals did things like "make friends" or "get an education". Well, Jungle needs none of those things, when he has bits instead!

...Okay, maybe working for Doctor Caballeron isn't exactly a dream job. It does pay well and the archeological stunts are always exciting, but Jungle needs a break from all that. That's why he has his eyes on a new house all for himself, located in a nice, small village called Ponyville. With a full bag of bits in tow, he's ready to start a new life, one far more peaceful than constant trap-dodging and fighting Daring Do.

After all, Ponyville can't have anything special or strange about it to pull him into more adventures, right?

...Right?

In a world constantly embroiled by strife and violence, there is always some profit to be made on the side.

As an insurance investigator for defense company Crystalstar in Hippogriffia, Azerda Zamarata is responsible for investigating overseas cases for military assets, with some…corporate legal liberties.
