My dude, I feel you. The way this story plays out aggravates me too. But we're just here to jack off. It sets up how we got human dick goin into pony puss along with a bit of feels to put behind the bangin. That's all it needed to do. It didn't exactly do it well, but that's not why we're here now is it? This is basically porn.
does the viewer really care about how invested the husband is in his analytics job and how he's never around and how the wife is just ohso lonely and needs somebody to keep her company and calls up the pool guy who is also a really close family friend and how this might affect their relationship and blah blah blah? No, as long as the clop part of the clopfic is good (it is pretty good, I enjoyed it nice work), the story setting up reason why the sexy bits are happening is secondary.

I did NOT see the change to Daybreaker coming in the last chapter, and the whole immortal thing at the end was also kinda surprising.
