Wandering Pigeon

I came here to eat breadcrumbs and indiscriminately shit on cars. And I'm all out of breadcrumbs...

After discovering Celestia's old diary, Twilight is having a great time reading through and learning all about her mentor's life a thousand years ago. But then, she comes across an odd series of entries. Entries that, the more she reads, the more they reveal a shocking piece of history.

Warning: Contains diapers, diaper usage, ABDL themes

I really liked this, Celestia never struck me as one who would be into the Adult Baby side of ABDL so medical reasons for her to be in diapers is nice.
The degenerate in me would like to see this turn into a clop fic with Celestia starting to like her diapers. Twilight having to hide the book to keep reading it back home would be a could side to the story, especially if Twilight decides to explore diapers herself.
The one part that bothered me is that you never stated they were in the Everfree Castle. It wasn’t until Spike was swatting away Star Spiders that I realized were they were. That’s kind on me for not remembering everything about the episode but I think others might be confused and think they are sitting in Twilights castle at first.
Thanks for posting and I hope you continue it!

I'm glad you liked it so far! Kinda realizing now too that I never mentioned the Everfree Castle. I think I'd rewatched Castle Mane-ia relatively close to starting on this fic which is why I focused more on what actions the characters were doing at the end of that episode. Guess I expected people to remember a now half-decade old episode better given that I had just seen it.

I did think of a few cloppy directions for this, but ultimately none are all that great. If I do continue I'll probably lean more into the original ending than that. (Which may include some padded Twilight. We'll see).

Interesting. I could only imagine all the thoughts Twilight had when she discovered that diary. Does Celestia even know she had left it behind when she moved the capital to Canterlot?

My favorite part is when Pinkie snapped Twilight out of the reading. Now that was an anxious moment. Did Pinkie read any of it? Did Twilight's fixation on it give away that it was more than just a tome about secret passages in the castle?

It certainly was an interesting read and you did leave plenty open for the imagination. Twilight could just stop reading, but that wouldn't be in-character. She could fess up to Celestia and give back the diary, but Twilight would fear knowing she betrayed Celestia's trust.

What could happen is Twilight getting into her "Twilighting" / "Twilinanas" and worrying that something like that could happen to her? She is under a lot of stress having ascended to being an Alicorn at this point. More responsibility would mean more stress. More stress could lead to...

Lots of possibilities.

Heck, in one situation, her fixation on wanting to know could impact Twilight's dreams and Luna would find out about the betrayal of Celestia's trust. Then what would Twilight do?

Twilight's going to have a tough time bottling up this secret once she's done reading. And when Celestia finds out she knows... oh boy.:twilightoops:

Did disposable diapers exist all those years ago? I was kind of surprised not to see cloth. Also I wonder if Celestia would really be upset with twilight. I remember reading the diary of Anne Frank in school.

Also also commence with the messing of diapers.

I just prefer disposable, that's why there's no cloth, really. And I bet Celestia is not going to be too happy about Twilight snooping through her old diary, even if she hadn't found the diaper entries.

So will there be a sequel? I would like to have seen more entries in this particular diary.

I never say no to the idea of sequels, but given how long just the making of this fic was, I wouldn't hold my breath. But I'm glad you liked it!

Oh boy, that ending was perfect! :twilightblush:

Twilight may disagree with you there :rainbowlaugh:

Well, it's not like she's having a say in it, is she? :trollestia:

Really, given how much you seem to like to put her into some padded predicaments in your stories (from Unforeseen Consequences of Haycartes' Method to Not Quite Right, by way of Pranks For That and FOAL 9000), I can only wonder what you'll have in store for her next... :raritywink:

Lol, I just can't seem to give her a break, can I?

Nice use of dialogue at the end there. Cute story, but the ending was a little out of left field for me. I can't help but wonder about Celestia's decision to use such an overt curse as a consequence for reading something like that, considering it would call so much attention to it. I would have expected something more gradual and easier to hide, like, well, maybe bedwetting.

That being said, it's probably best for me as a reader to not think too much about these things. It was a fun read, which is most important. Glad you revisited this one.
