I don’t have any other stories that are explicitly in this universe ... but this does tend to be the way I write Shining Armor and Cadance, and I have a few stories with them. In particular, the one I’m working on right now (not yet published) could be considered as being in the same universe as this one if you wanted to. It’s set well after this one, after Cadance and Shining Armor have been married for a couple years -- she goes off to a royal summit and leaves him alone for three days ... but he won’t be lonely, because she’s instructed all the mares in the Crystal Palace staff to ‘keep him busy’. It’s going to end up a multi-chapter monstrosity of a story.

Well, I’m currently on Chapter 3 and plan to get a lot more progress done today. Should be completely finished by Friday. It’ll be published sometime in mid July.

This was a pretty good story. Short, sweet, and simple. I'll admit that I don't really enjoy cheating stories but this is closer to cuckolding so while it isn't there for me entirely, I can still appreciate it. Along with that I didn't notice any grammatical issues but I felt the beginning with Marigold could've been put together a little bit more so it didn't just seem extremely convenient for everything to happen. But the sex was good and the little touch of having to pull out rather than get her pregnant is pretty rare to see, and I liked it. It also created some humor with where it landed as well.

However, the fact that she has an open relationship in no way makes it non-committal, lesser, or otherwise wrong. It means that they have different rules for their relationship than are considered the supposed default.
The fact that Star and Marigold don't is the problem here. Not her relationship with Shining Armor.
