Yeah, my pacing is a little rushed. Considering that I wrote it in a little over an hour though, it's not the worst I've written. As for show vs tell, it's one of the things I struggle with the most in my stories. I'm working on it (though I'm not sure I'm getting better at it) but I've got a long ways to go.
Character creation is the bane of my existence. At the end of the story my readers know as much about my characters as I ever did, simply because the only way I've figured out how to make a character is to drop a blank slate into a world and develop them as needed. For fast, easy writing, this method works well enough, but it lacks the depth to make an actually good story. (Don't tell anyone but I couldn't even tell you the coat colors of most of the "OCs" I've made for my stories.) I'm trying to fix that though with the long format story i'm working on, and I gotta say it's the simplest way I've found yet to slow down the story writing process. Still struggling with sentence length though.
Oh well, one of these days I'll get there. Until then, enjoy the ramblings of a dude who writes clop for his own enjoyment. And make sure to check the content warnings before you start, just in case.

Self editing is probably the best I'll ever do. I lack the patience required to cooperate with an actual editor, especially on a minific like this one. The good news is that I hope to get in plenty of practice in the future, as well as keeping up my voreacious (I'm sorry) reading.
This fic honestly wasn't supposed to be much of a fic. A challenge to write something about the new pones that didn't get too weird or fetishy cause I just wanted to write something quick and cute. I do have to admit that I have a tendency to rush to the steamy bits, cause they're the parts I'm actually excited for. For my more serious fics, I plan on writing a much more fleshed out intro.
Also, I'm going to advise you again to check the content warnings on my fics if you plan to read any of them. I've read all of your fics and they're pretty tame by comparison. While mine aren't the most 'wild' fics out there, they tend to have some fetishes that are pretty niche. You might enjoy An Evening of Discovery though, if you wanted to read one of my works that I put a little more effort into.
