If you talk to elderly people (at least the ones I have dealt with) they are who they have always been. Some wiser, some more patient, some exactly as I imagine they've always been. I find that when I talk to someone who I've known since grade school we are still us, just older with different day to day concerns. So Aurora, who was described briefly as being a great deal like Sunset, would still be fiery and a no nonsense woman even in old age. Also, the recap was, I think necessary since this is not a direct sequel for new readers, but also a refresher.

Okay, so timeline considerations here. In Gods and Monsters prelude we see Sunset and Twi following Aurora's funeral. Prelude part two, section 4. That was 87 years after the mirror was restored, which was 22 years after the first was destroyed. So obviously this takes place before that. To clarify, this is 100 years after Friendship Games. Also, when we see elder Sci-twi in GaM remember her magic vanished and she aged rapidly. At this particular point both Sunny and Twi appear about 25 give or take. The Omega Beast comes several years later, more than two mirror cycles in fact. Yeah, one chapter a week for now since I am still working on it. As we get closer to the end I might pick up the pace.

Well, timeline they are less than 100 years ahead of us currently so I don't see the UN getting their collective asses in gear to become a functional world government and I guess I'm hopeful we will not nuke ourselves. As far as environmet. Again, maybe I'm hopeful we trend towards renewables and alternative power sources that reduce oil and fossil fuels and we slow the major effects. All the vehicles are electric or some hybrid variant as seen in I, Raven including the Launch vehicle we aee next chapter. Is the world backdrop inspired by anything? Probably many things. Eagle Eye is not a bad guy, he's not. He is a horn dog and narcissistic because he knows he is attractive, but he is good at his job too. And yes, he picked up on some of Twi and Sunset's behavior, which they have a hard time hiding after so many years together. Now Drago is fun and is based off my old roommate from College. Also, just as a point of note but not important to the story, I imagine Drago as a Kirin in Equestria, hence the different style name.

To clarify, the base facility is called the Stargate. The launch rail is called the Slingshot and the shuttle is called the MUAV and has a model number not a name. Does EqG human world have a pantheon and magical religious gods? I'm going to leave this open in case I ever expand, but for the purpose of this short story they don't come into play. This is a human story with human problems which will come to light soon. And Eagle Eye probably would not mind being Sunset's bitch but she has better things to do.

At first I would like to say that the L2 station somewhat resembles the Babylon 5 station, but then I remembered that Babylon 5 and L2 resemble the first described space station: the O'Neill tube.
By the way, have you Revell Montero, have you watched Babylon 5 yourself?. While someone was watching Star Trek as a kid, I was watching Babylon 5. This universe, along with the Stargate, are great universes for me. It remains to be hoped that there will be no analogue to the Oris or Shadows, otherwise Void on their background is so, an innocent child.

Not quite, the Lunar L2 point would only be in this position during a full moon, plus the station would be orbiting around the L2 point to allow for the station to peek above/below the lunar disk (as the moon is always between the L2 point and the earth).
