I think English may not be the author's primary language. The story is still comprehensible, but the grammar errors interrupt the flow of the story.
An editor would fix the grammar and help smooth the prose.
@Paul0504, if you can't find an editor I would like to volunteer to edit the next chapter of the "That's what friends do" chapter. (Or, option B)
