If you actually get transported to equestria it won’t be a paradise.
Sure magic exists but it’s like any skill in real life it takes years of work and study to be good at it .
Then you’ll have to worry about stuff like villain attacks and monsters considering there is no y tv rating to block injuries or death.
Jobs, politics and other stuff like that would exist just like the real world.

That is why we write stories set there in Equestria. We may never go there physically, but we can go there in our minds to experience things in that universe vicariously.
Would I want to be a pony? Sure! A unicorn would be grand, but I'd accept being a pegasus or an Earth pony. A zebra would also be a cool pony, even if they are not true equine, but a slight variation as, are donkeys, A griffon might be just as cool. A minotaur or a yak, well, that's pushing it. Despite me liking dragons, I'd draw the line there. I wouldn't want to become a dragon.
I have read many a story set in places beyond Earth that I would love to go and see in many science fiction books. But, heck, I'll never go to the moon in my lifetime...

Perhaps 'kidnap' would be a better way of putting it. She had her reasons, as I depicted in the story that she felt she was dealing with someone or 'someperson' who was in clear and present danger. A hasty decision as she was in a hurry to escape, but will it be one she regrets? And what of the youth caught up in all this? Well, that's the point of this story... isn't it?

I never said you were talking about yourself as Kevin. You're the one who said 'if I were in his position'. I just thought you meant the whole part and parcel, because otherwise it doesn't seem to be something worth saying, or even make sense given the context of what happened in the story. If you would have a different life you were snatched from, namely one you were happy with, then a) of course you would want to go back, but also b) you probably wouldn't have been taken from it in the first place.
