I started writing this back in early 2018. It took me three years to finish because of the subject matter and the fact it's a non-linear narrative. All I ask is that you give it a chance to make sense and it will.

Of death, there are two things that I believe: that it first comes in the form of a memory, and second that it comes wearing the face of a friend. As for when it comes, I can not say for sure, but I would like to think that when it comes, it parts a sea of angels as they crash and scream around it, to lead us to whatever lies beyond. As a timeless immortal being, I never understood death and loss. I was willing to make friends and play nice, I even fell in love. But then one day I lost the pony I loved most, and sought to escape my grief. It went fine for a time, until somepony restored magic to Equestria.

Hitch was having a pretty normal day, until a strange creature appeared on the road and transformed him into a mare. He kept going on about somepony named Fluttershy, before vanishing and imploding a few buildings. Hitch misses the days before he was a national hero in constant peril.
