"I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."
-Thomas Jefferson

Three hundred years ago, Equestria tried to assimilate Earth.
They failed. They fled, rather than face justice.
We moved on. We conquered the stars, we made a civilization that spans across the infinite void. We built true harmony between species.
We thought we'd seen the last of Celestia, but as a desperate mobile colony on the fringes of known space came to discover, we were wrong.

It is time to finish what was started by our forefathers.

Based on TCB: Not Alone, by Starman Ghost.

EDIT: Following Starman Ghost's deleting of Not Alone, I've replaced the above link with one leading to a PDF file uploaded to mediafire.

EDIT (14/04/2014): The character of Evening Star was originally created by Starman Ghost. I am using her without his permission.

When Twilight Sparkle decides to try a new spell she has perfected, she successfully pulls a being from another universe into Equestria. That being coincidentally is a human...that human coincidentally is you. What at first just seems like an opportunity for first contact between two species soon becomes something much more when certain truths are brought to light...and everything you knew about your life is flipped onto its head.

NOTE: At times in this story, the main character's thought process will be shown as an inner monologue with his brain. BRAIN's dialogue will appear in this color of text.

Thank Aegis Exemplar for the epic idea. No seriously go send him a message for the awesome idea.

438 years ago, ponies discovered the remains of the civilizations that existed before them. This led to a period of increased technological development, spatial expansion, and further discoveries that would forever change ponies as a race. In the present, Celestia's only student has discovered a beacon that recounts the Old Races' war against a nigh unstoppable enemy named the Reapers. Against an enemy with millions of years of experience, the strength to wipe out entire civilizations systematically, and the ability to make organic beings their mind-slaves, it will fall to one mare and her team to protect the galaxy.

After being trapped in stone by the Mane Six, Discord uses what little power he has left to summon the one person stupid enough to free him...Johnny Bravo. But will Johnny be able to figure out he's being used in time to stop Discord once and for all?

...Probably not. Equestria is doomed.

Important: there are a lot of deleted comments, they were all part of a very long conversation that didn't belong here.

Aliens have been sighted on and around Earth for centuries. But a single description keeps popping up in history. Four legs, big eyes, and a unique mark on the hind legs. The first real proof was in April of 1947. Ever since then there have been reports sprinkled throughout the decades. But now one has been captured alive, and an old military base has been re-purposed to hold them. People were right about aliens, but they got one thing wrong. They're not from the stars, they're from Special Camp number 2.

Twilight Sparkle presents a collection of interviews, letters, essays, poetry and prose compiled over several years of her relationship with the human Bellerophon and his "herd", covering subjects as broad as Equestrian social taboos, comparisons of earth and Equestrian mythology, romance and the occasional recipe. Compiled by Twilight Sparkle, with foreword by Her Royal Highness, Princess Celestia.

(This is a bit of an experiment based on the worldbuilding concepts presented in AnonAuthor's Xenophilia [[NSFW] - caveat lector!], which intrigued me enough to want to take a closer look. It's likely you'll be very confused by this unless you read at least some of Xenophilia. Updates will appear as and when an idea pops into my head for a thing to add. And fair warning, some of this might come across very dry and dusty. Thank you academia! And thank you AnonAuthor for letting me have a go, and both AnonAuthor and AnonponyDASHIE for all the collab work they're doing. I'll make up for the dust by tossing in the odd piece of art now and then.)

"These papers are my reports upon my studies of equestrian cutlure, physics, genetics, magical theory, geology, politics, and war. Viewed in as scientific form as I can manage.

These are my theories and observations as best as I can describe them, and their contrast with those in my home reality. Hopefully, these observations will shed further light upon the world of Equestria for those within, and should these ever manage to go further, those without."

By Emeris Fillson

(Inspired by both Xenophillia and The Xenophillias Guide to Equestria, two very awesome stories.)

This is directly connected to my other story, Consequences of Unoriginallity, and are in-character observations of the main character. These observations do not occur at any specified point in the story, and as such, may have slight spoilers. Reading of one does not require reading of the other.
