Twilight Sparkle is called to Canterlot Castle where something has happened to Princess Luna that has reverted her to a weakened state, she has to live with Twilight whilst she recuperates her magic.

The annual Minesweeper tournaments are being held, and Princess Luna decides she is going to partake in them. However, being on the moon for one thousand years has made her oblivious to the game, and it's not the easy-going, safe sport she expected.

Luna visits Twilight late one night to seek her assistance with learning how to dance, and it sparks a series of events.
