As winter comes, so too does a general feeling of not really being able to do much more than sit and think. I've managed despite this to get out a fic recently, but it was rather rushed (and didn't need to be, as I had a fair bit of time before the contest deadline). I plan to put out a prequel to the fic sometime within the next few months, but beyond that, I've got a lot of ideas and little certainty about what I'll actually write.

I was really unhappy with the finale of FiM, mostly because I felt it took the lazy options with the villains (and in so doing raised serious ethical problems with the princesses*) and made for a really stupid conflict of "suddenly everypony's a little racist and isolated and they just come together immediately offscreen".

As should be obvious, my activity has decreased a lot in the past year. This is because I've had trouble really tackling my writing projects, often getting demotivated. I have continued to help other writers during this time, and I think it's helped with my own writing.
Soon, I expect to publish a fixfic of the FiM finale. I started it not long after FiM ended, but of course it's taken a while, and now we're nearly on a new generation!

I'm currently making a fic based around the episode "Sounds of Silence", explaining why the Kirins are few in number and young via an insensitive Autumn Blaze. It'll be quite a doozy of lewd and dark comedy if I pull it off right.
