That seems to be the weirdest thing of all, but not the most. And maybe I'm thinking too much, but could it be that this episode is a reference to the fandom, specifically the whole Silent Ponyville part? Five things about me:
1. I'm a 25-year-old still living with parents, due to sad circumstances over last 5 years, not having any motivation to get the hell out of there. (Might find out more, if can ever get my ass to write my own human in Equestria self-insert idea, inspired by a friend, despite now knowing that it's a common thing among brony writers)
2. I'm a type-1 diabetic, and been one ever since I was 9 months of age.
3. I'm mated to a guy who considers me the love of his life and could care less about ponies, even before I got carried away with this site a few months ago, when I broke my computer by accident. But now, just HATES them, but hopefully, if he finds out I write about ponies someday (maybe including one including the two of us), won't make an issue about it.
4. I'm a guy myself, though not gay, I consider myself to be a pansexual.
5. I can get along with anypony, as long as they treat me like I'd want to be treated, and don't do anything to a friend of mine.

Twilight Sparkle, I feel I relate to her more than any other pony who's been a big part of the show.
2. Favorite video game?
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, even if I never finished it even once XD

RPGs and first-person shooter games.
4. Favorite movie?
Hmm... hard to say. Seen so many movies, but if had to guess... I'd say the original Home Alone, from back in like the '90s.

Turning items into something else, I guess.

Well, I think I'd pick A Canterlot Wedding, closely followed by Winter Wrap-Up (rather than the other way around, even though that's the ep where I started relating to Twilight, in the middle of her monologue during the song).

McDonald's, I'm loving it! (If got this right, as don't wanna fuss over it much)

Don't have many toys anymore, so I guess this doesn't apply.
