As Derpy finishes up a busy holiday season, she reflects on herself, her life, and her experiences on the cold trip home. Little does she know, however, that a Hearth's Warming surprise waits for her.

He's not a good stallion, but maybe he's a better one than even he would guess. Now if only he'd stop being so cynical...

He's the official Time Keeper of Ponyville. He is the one who keeps the clock tower of Ponyville in working order. He makes clocks and sells them in his shop as well as reparing any clocks that need to be fixed for the citizens of the town. His life is pretty normal, but it may be changing. He has begun to realize that he's attracted to the local mail mare but he's far too nervous to do much about it. Other things also distract him as the clock tower needs minor repairs and he gets a new employee at his shop. Then things go south when the mare he loves has some trouble with her daughter's father.

Justin, a guy from Indiana, is throwing himself a birthday party in an attempt to cheer himself up. After this bad day, what he wants might be something he needs for his own sake. And it might just end up being the best birthday yet.

Today's the day that Applejack is leaving to compete in the Equestria Rodeo, but something's... off. Derpy's been acting strange, even by her usual standards. Eh, it's probably nothing, right? After all, what are the chances that an eccentric mailpony behaving even more oddly than normal could ever be important in the grand scheme of things?

Once, the Doctor traveled time with Star Swirl the Bearded, taking in the wonders of the universe as friends. However, some events are fixed, and Star Swirl had to leave so he could play an essential part in Equestria's history.

When the Doctor learns that Star Swirl faces a crisis of conscience, he will risk everything to be there for his old friend.

Many ponies have treated Derpy as idiotic and never thought that any pony would ever find her interesting. She always felt that the world was a dark and cloudy day. But soon, a new stallion came to her school, and her world seemed a bit brighter. However, happiness can have problems. So Derpy has to figure out if she does feel like this stallion can help her, or if her world is just one drama after another.
