Under the bleak sky of a post-industrial Canterlot, a young mare named Neverwas ekes out a living through her knack for hacking computers. Her day-to-day existence is turned on its head, however, when she becomes entangled in a hidden war between the megacorporations vying for control of the city, and perhaps, the whole world.

Long ago, something happened to transmogrify the land of Equestria from an age of sunshine and rainbows into a cybernetic nightmare. Whether or not Neverwas wants to uncover the hidden secrets of her world, she'll soon do so.

This is a rewrite of my old story Obsolescence. Trust me when I say that although the changes are substantial, I hope I have been able to preserve what readers liked about the story's first incarnation.

The 'Gore' tag is for sci-fi action and violence.

The war has been over for months and yet it still lingers in many. Not a day passed by without them remembering the horrors and sadness the war was brought.

Major Rainbow Dash, national hero and renowned soldier of the Equestrian Army, is praised by ponies no matter where she goes. Her exploits during the last day of the war is a well known story as her face is easily recognized anywhere. Considered as a great icon, somepony who ended the war and saved thousands, she is looked up upon by many and adored by the entire land. But for her, she just wishes to be left alone. The parties, the speeches, the praises, she would trade that for the lives of those she lost or for a chance to join them in their eternal sleep.

When this war hero finally snaps from all the strains she had to go through, she is sent to Ponyville for the long awaited rest she wanted. Having trouble finding quiet and peace in the large cities because of her fame, the small quiet town of Ponyville seems like the perfect place for her stay and get away from it all.

But with the memories of the pass always shrouding her, would she finally be able to make peace? Or will she continue to suffer and wage war in her mind, even after the last shot was fired.

She'd witnessed the Rainboom happen, but never felt the inclination to go home. Instead, Applejack had opted to stay in Manehatten with her Aunt and Uncle. As the years passed, she's eventually encouraged to go home for merely a visit.

However, that simple visit is turned into a more... permanent situation after unforeseen events. How will she ever get along with these Ponyville slobs? During the Summer Sun Celebration no less! And what's this? It's the Apple Family reunion as well... what more could go wrong?

To vanquish a particularly troublesome bad guy Celestia called upon the sun's full power. She and Luna saved the day, but unfortunately the experience left her super-sized. Unable to move about without smashing something, Celestia has been indefinitely forced to sit still with nothing to do. Luna hatches a plan that will hopefully cheer her sister up and even get used to being huge.

Just a fun little story to stretch my writing muscles again. Not that there's much to stretch, ha. It pulls heavily from Blobskin’s mature story 7 Days of Macro Dreams but doesn't have much to offer in the way of lewd-ness. Sorry, guys - I hope you can dig it anyway.

Just for Harmony and the Sisters, Discord decided to take things a bit seriously the second time around.

Now seemingly unopposable on his Chaos Throne, King Discord has all of Equestria at his clawtips.

His very first decree? The very first royal act of chaos? The moment that may define his reign?

Pardoning Mane Six.

Wait, what?

Discord's reign will be filled with surprises, chief being how the draconequus is far from malevolent to those in his lands, despite what the ponies have been told. It seems that while Equestria belongs to Discord now, but he does play(mostly) responsibly.

And as time goes on, the appeal of Chaos can worm its way into most any heart.

Loosely inspired by Rick Moody's novel 'Hotels of North America.'

We all know of how Princess Luna fell victim to Nightmare Moon's influence. We all know of how she returned and how she was saved by the powers of the Elements of Harmony, and how her sister Celestia was overjoyed that after a thousand years her sister had finally returned to her. The question is though, why did Celestia allow her beloved sister to be forgotten by her subjects?

This is the version of the story where that never happened. This is the story where in her grief, Celestia never let her ponies forget the princess they drove to darkness with their and her own neglect. Where she made sure that everypony remembered the day that they lost their guardian of the night. How would the story have panned out with this setup?

(This story is actually inspired by the story The Return of Princess Nightmare Moon by Aegis Shield. This is by no means a copy though. The story just got me thinking about the fact that Celestia really did in a way let ponies forget their was ever a Princess of the Night or that she was her sister. Hope you all enjoy.)
