Octavia Melody isn't what you'd call a particularly adventurous pony, but even she can't resist the temptation to investigate a good mystery – especially when that mystery involves one of her greatest musical influences.

The identity of the great composer 'Cecily Cambirvir' has gone unknown for more than a decade, but Octavia heard a rumor that suggested more information could be found in the Changeling Hive Chrysalis. Against her better judgement, she signs up for the changeling cultural exchange program, and rides the train to the hive with her best friend, Vinyl Scratch.

Vinyl and Octavia meet the Devil.

Octavia has never considered Vinyl Scratch to be an ideal roommate. She's loud and obnoxious, she comes home whenever she dang well pleases, and she rarely (if ever) takes things seriously. So when Octy learns that she has a twin sister named Fiddlesticks who's coming in for a visit, she can't help but feel a sense of dread. Not because she fears that Fiddlesticks will be offended by Vinyl's bombastic attitude, although that in and of itself would be pretty terrible. Rather, she's afraid of Fiddlesticks embracing said attitude and proceeding to drive her insane.

To ease her roommate's worries, Vinyl promises to be on her best behavior. However, such a promise can only go so far, as she's not too keen on the idea of two Octavias running around and telling her what to do. With Tavi trying too hard to be a good host, Vinyl trying to curb her rebellious nature, and Fiddlesticks just trying to have a good time, something's gotta give...

Rated Teen for crude humor and suggestive themes.

Shopping in a crowded supermarket is one thing, it is practically labeled under "one of the worst ideas ever" and be completely absentminded in forgetting to buy something special for your special somepony.

Vinyl Scratch has loved her stuffed pony since she was young. But Rainbow Dash, thinking she's too old for it, is bent on breaking her friend's habit. But both ponies learn a valuable lesson about being comfortable in their own skin.

Octavia has places to be, but there's no way she can go outside if she can't find her skirt. But the only one who might know where it is is Vinyl, and she, while being a really cute little unicorn, doesn't speak very much at all.

Not to mention, she loves messing with Octavia.

After an eventful meeting with Vinyl's Mother, Octavia and Vinyl need to get away from Canterlot in a hurry and end up visiting Octavia's estranged father. Who is a legitimate and upright business-stallion.

How will Wubsy the changeling, Vinyl, and Octavia cope when the town develops Changeling-phobia?
