On a dark night filled with even darker magics, an insane cult attempts to give Nightmare Moon a body and life of her own, utterly separate from Princess Luna. But, when the spell is interrupted by Celestia, something unexpected is created.

Now, a little black alicorn filly named Nyx finds herself living under the care of Twilight Sparkle, only to be haunted by memories and emotions from her past. Is she Nightmare Moon reborn or is she simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of her own? Can Twilight Sparkle protect Nyx from those who refuse to see past her dragon eyes and black coat?

Or, will Nyx be forced to inherit the sins that may not even be hers and become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known?

This story is a sequel to Caged Inside, but is written in a way that it's not necessary to read it first.

Luna is not the only pony to have a Nightmare inside her, In fact all ponies do. that anti-conscience, The devil on your shoulder if you catch my meaning. Sometimes it is very apparent, it comes out sometimes when a pony is sad or upset, Pinkamena for example.
But this story isn't about them, This story is about your cherished Princess Celestia and her dream that started a chain of thoughts that nopony will ever disregard as meaningless.
An Alicorn's mind is a precarious thing with so much power it's a wonder that it doesn't go to their heads, or does it?

Fluttershy is well known for being the element of kindness and a great friend. but there's something else to her a dark family secret of her true nature. being one of the last members of a ancient assassin's guild only know as the Dark brotherhood.
Will she be able to handle the insane amount of contracts that keep coming in or will she look to recruiting new member's from her friends?

Sombra is dead, everypony is happy. Everypony except Fluttershy that is. For she has rather mixed feelings about her father's demise. She knew he was a tyrant, Tartarus after her mother died he wasn't even nice to her anymore. But he was still her father. How is she supposed to feel? And can she tell her friends that she inherited her father's dark magic?

Emerald Morrison didn't have the best life, but certainly not the worst. She didn't have the best grades, but also not the worst. But now? Now she finds herself as Twivine, an OC made by another brony. Problem is, she has no idea who Twivine is. She heard of Twivine, seen one or two fan made pictures but that's about it.

Somehow Twilight's magic surge brought Emerald or rather Twivine to Equestria and now she grows up (again), only this time in the Sparkle household.
