When Derpy is asked to talk to the students of Cheerilee's class about her disability, will things work out, or will the gray pegasus get tongue-tied and embarrassed as she notices the pity others give her for being different? Will she be able to stand up for herself, or will her emotions unravel before her eyes?

I literally got this idea late one night and decided to roll with it. I have no idea if my mind was spouting gibberish. But critique is welcome, as long as it's constructive.

It's Hearths Warming Eve and while all other ponies are together with family and friends in a warm home, a certain pegasus filly is alone.

Scootaloo has been alone on this holiday for years, yet the loneliness never lessens, it only gets worse.

When one of her best friends, Dinky Hooves finds out, she decides to make it her goal to give Scootaloo the best Hearths Warming she's ever had.

Rainbow Dash had recently admitted to Scootaloo that she's her birth mother, Rainbow Dash is nervous about what this is going to mean for not only her future but Scootaloo's. Help comes to her from an unexpected place however, another single mom living in Ponyville who understands where Rainbow is coming from, Derpy Hooves.

Derpy and Spitfire take turns preening each other's wings, but this time the former uses the time to talk about their future.

The two had been dating for a long time, both knowing what that came with; Spitfire's job being the main point. As a Wonderbolt, she wasn't always available to be with her marefriend.

But Derpy's okay with that. She made that commitment when they began dating.

In fact, commitment is just what she wants.

Derpy came to return the jar for the fireworks to Doctor Hooves. Unfortunately, her clock caught on to Doc's secret breakthrough and she travels to the past with the background six.

The butterfly effect kicks in and leads to enough loops to get a time traveler's mind throbbing in pain.

Derpy is a devoted mother to her kids, Sparkler and Dinky. She loves them with all her heart and would do anything for them. However, there are many things that she has kept from Dinky. Many lies that she has fed her little muffin.

When Derpy learns that her parents are coming to visit, she decides it's time Dinky knew the truth.

A despondent mail mare finds both comfort and a new sense of confidence thanks to a random act of kindness courtesy of Rainbow Dash.

Ditzy explains to Twilight her feelings about the moon, but somepony else happens to overhear. It's funny how our words can help someone without even trying.
