Pinkie Pie is being tormented by horrific nightmares. Unable to deal with it by herself anymore she seeks out Twilight's help, but will it have been the best decision when she finds herself alone in an abandoned, fog filled Ponyville?

When Applebloom asks how Applejack ended up with Winona, Applejack tells her in a stage of sad and old memories.

Applebloom has always remembered her family just as it is, her two siblings and her grandmother. She never got to meet her parents, but feels resentful that Applejack bosses her around like she was her mother. She runs off and finds a peice of Applejack's past, and is confronted with the disturbing similarities and problems she shares with her sister.

Twilight, who was walking home from a princess summit, finds two young foals alone in a trashcan, beaten and skinny. She does the responsible thing in this situation, she gets them some milk then takes them to the hospital.
