For those of you who may not know, Ponyville Ciderfest 2023 was a weekend-long interactive game to decide the future of the convention itself. This was brought by writers, artists, cosplayers, editors, staff members, and countless others into a weekend worthy of the history books.

We wanted to make sure that these stories, all this hard work, reached as many members of the MLP community as possible. To that end, these are my own humble offerings from the convention's weekend. Included are the #CodeWords that were used in the Ciderfest app, as well as all the possible outcomes for each story.

I hope you enjoy, and please make sure to read what everypony had to offer.

Note: The App would allow users to enter a username, which would replace the [Username] seen in the stories. I have left them in to keep the stories in their original released condition.

How did it all go so wrong? A DJ in a run-down apartment, with a bottle of booze, an old record and a thorough disgust with her own situation is prepared to go out in one last blaze of indulgence, reluctant to ever look back at the life she so thoroughly ruined. But was it as bad as she remembers? How could meeting one mare lead to a chain of events so drastic? How could one mysterious spark lead her into the situation that would end her life?

Sappy, over the top description over, Author's stream of consciousness begins here. This is just something that came to my mind, and I was knocking-around in my head a while. Don't know if it's any good, and it's DEFINITELY over the top, but I thought it was at the least interesting to write, since I threw away pretty much every comfort I have in my writing style.

The Last Goodbye

A few days following the grand festival of Nightmare Night, Octavia Melody and her best friend Vinyl Scratch have their lives flipped upside down once Octavia begins to act a lot stranger than usual, especially around her best friend. But once Vinyl discovers the secret that could have been too much to handle, their bond grows closer, and their home-life begins to warp into something entirely different due to Octavia's changes and unwanted visitors showing up at their door.

DJ (Vinyl Scratch as a male) got a scholarship from a famous dj called Neon Lights and now attends school at a large muscial arts college,"Las Pegasus Music Academy". He buts heads with a female pony named Octavia, but he instead of being mean to her, he tries to make friends with her. Instead of acting like an idiot, he's going to have to take things seriously if he wants to be a top notch DJ. He needs to clean up his act, put on his big boy pants and start taking this schooling seriously. His new roommate is an interesting one, he's actually an alien. What does fate have instore for these three ponies? Only time will tell.

Octavia Melody and Vinyl Scratch have been dating Sunset Shimmer for a while now. While they've known from the start that Sunset happens to be a unicorn from another world, they're finally going to get the chance to see that (and, hopefully, truly understand it) when Sunset takes them to Equestria over vacation.

All that follows is meta stuff that can safely be ignored unless you happen to be interested in it.

This was originally conceived as an entry for Oroboro's Sunset Shipping Contest: Journeys. I knew that I wouldn't finish it on time, but pretending that I was totally going to win if I entered --and therefore absolutely needed to finish before the deadline-- did allow me to actually write something in spite of my depression. (Sometimes silly solutions can achieve limited success.)

Much of what I produced wasn't particularly good, the prologue being the exception (at least I think it's pretty good), so I took it down for desperately needed revision. I thought that I had enough momentum to finish the revision before my depression fully reasserted itself.

That was over seven months ago, not even one of the chapters in question has been revised. So, obviously, that didn't work out the way I had hoped or expected.

This isn't on hiatus, but it is on "the author's clinical depression fuels her writer's block" which may be worse.

After spending most of her time studying indoors throughout the winter season, Twilight Sparkle is given a new assignment by Princess Celestia: to form and lead Ponyville's new EHL team, the Ponyville Golden Leafs. Twilight and friends lace up their skates to take on the EHL's elite in hopes of winning the Celestia Cup with teamwork and friendship.

They say that if you remember the Eighties, you weren't there. It certainly would prove difficult to remember much if you spent most of your time with a whacky little pill stuck to your tongue. Welcome to 1987 Equestria! A place and time where cell phones doubled as bricks and the motor carriages were big enough to haul landfills around in the Manehatten River.

The mayor of Ponyville has found love and decides to settle down with her mate upon the end of her fourth term. This of which, corrupt business pony, Filthy Rich tries to capitalize on. With some encouragement from her best friend, Vinyl Scratch and some help from Twilight and the gang, Octavia stands up for what is right and runs for mayor to save the town. She and Vinyl moved to Ponyville a few years ago for the peace and quiet and she'll be damned if the sleepy, yet vibrant little town of less than six thousand ponies falls victim to the greed of corporate Equestria.

Filthy Rich of course doesn't play fair when it comes to the election and with the good of Ponyville in mind, Octavia finds that two can play at that game! All the while, Filthy's daughter is at her wits end as she gets caught right in the crossfire and desperately seeks a solution to this madness. It's late in the decade but the party is far from over! Who said politics was a boring, "behind the desk" job? For mild mannered Octavia, Things are about to get very real and her reserve tested to the limit!

Rated Teen for language, drug and alcohol references and other such suggestive dialog. Sex tag is for innuendos and vague references to sexual activities but nothing goes into graphic detail thus maintaining the Teen rating. Despite the different time period, the characters are all the same age as they are on the show and the "alternate universe" tag should cover that. Set it in 1987 because reasons. Vinyl Scratch and Lyra Heartstrings are vampires, creatures of the night whose civilization has lived in humanity's shadow for thousands of years. They are self-sufficient and prideful, only venturing out of their hidden cities to replenish their stock of blood. But ties to past lives are not so easily severed.

When Lyra catches wind of supernatural happenings in her hometown of Canterlot, she and Vinyl take it upon themselves to investigate the cause.
