After many stories where the insertee doesn't say anything, this is a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
All of my instincts borne from having a strict mom are screaming at me every time the... insertee (thanks for the term, Cheshirek4t) tells their parents/guardians or other authority figure. I'm always interested to see how it plays out, but that nagging gut feeling always keeps annoying me. I finished this chapter without putting my phone down even once, so it's safe to say you've done a good job writing this because I was too engrossed to really notice.
Wait... a protagonist who is completely reasonable and trusts his family, which believe him because obviously this all makes sense. How unusual and at the same time so damn welcome. So cool to see for once someone blessed with common sense as reason.
There's arguments for keeping silent as well, but telling his family makes sense for a character who has a good family, and didn't just crawl out of the Everfree forest all on their lonesome.

Being roughly 90 years in the past helps with that.
Your story your choice but he should have waited to tell them he was from another world at least a little longer just to make sure there aren't any precedent about possesions or something his family might freak out about and he should not have told them about MLP full stop! Telling his family about Luna could ruin a plan 908 years in the making and not to mention what Celestia would do if she finds out about this random colt who has knowledge he shouldn't have! Too much of a risk if you ask me!
horses of saddle Arabia are we a joke to you!
nice chapter but it feel unrealistic kinda need them to start out unbelieving and by the end he convinced then, this way just feel like it never happen

I actually had to check on this before I wrote the chapter. The site I found specifically labeled them ponies, so I rolled with it.
They took that rather well. Good chapter
I thought i would not like this story but is a awesome story so far thank u
that went far too smoothly, like you just didnt want to deal with the coming out part. not an attack, just...anti-climactic.
it's gonna be a doozy getting through this chapter, as my second hand embarrassment is NOT liking the fact that the main character is already coming clean.
really liking how this story's going so far though, i'm really interested in seeing how the MC's earth magic progresses.
I like it. I expected more resistance to the idea that he regained his memories from a past life, but with them coming from Equestria, as a fairly accepting people in general (when it comes to the pony races anyway) it's not too surprising, but I am hoping that we'll see some more 'coming to terms' with it in the future. Especially when he's got a sibling on the way.
“Wait, the planet is called Earth? Like, ya know, earth ponies?” he asks, waving around the room. "You didn’t mention us. Are we myths there too?" Deed asked.
That's why I personally think their planet is also named earth. Since they call it / the ground beneath them by that term several times.
Huh, I really like that the mc told his parents. I also absolutely love the trope breaking thats going on. It all makes sense too
"If you can't trust your family then who can you trust?" Easy, try taking up a random Startrek alien life and in dinner say to your family about the multiverse and how you are actually from another universe and used to watch it through TV and see if their reactions are as good as these ponies.
You were obviously either too lazy to think up how to actually make this seem real or you just wanted to get this out of the way in the early chapter. Which seems pretty like a horrible idra considering this is a kind of "Luke, I am your father" moment in the story, where something great is revealed.
This just makes me think you took up this plot element and swept it under a rug to hide forever. There is no reason a 50th years old is so trusting on the reactions of these ponies and why they just wouldn't call a medic or something. Would they just really take a 8 years old seriously? Wharever anyways, was a good idea and the story seems good, but this moment wrecks it for me. Makes me think of how many other things you would do in the same way.
Heyyy, someone actually did the “just come clean about the reincarnation thing and see how it goes” route! Kudos!
This was hilarious and I think I’m gonna enjoy the rest.
I like the dad character...

Yes..also I'm replying to you live from the end of each chapter I reed right at the end
That bit about the design of the chairs is the sort of little detail that I love in these sorts of stories! Not sure if I would expect more of a distressed reaction from a mother finding out her son is already a grown up, but shock can do some strange things to people! Great job!
A story where the pony mc actually tells then about their previous life, instead of hiding everything behind lies and more lies, until it eventually bites them in the ass? Instant favorite right there.
Plus, his dad, I like him.
Fuk, the part about Cyndi...fuck me up, Fam.
This broke me and I had the same reaction as Title.
At least they don't need to worry about giving Cure that 'birds and the bees' talk. He's already very much aware of the concept.
I am loving the premise of this story and what I've read so far. Looking forward to seeing where things go from here.
Story was interesting or getting there but then he just blabs near first chance he gets about him being reincarnated, like I would of stacked my deck and kept away from the craziness of g4 and had adventures elsewhere but I guess there needs a stupid and easy way to force him towards the main characters or butt in the main plot
Interesting chapter. An unusual decision, but a welcome one.
God, skipping the whole isekai I can't tell anyone what happened because of paranoia thing is so refreshing. Not to mention how wholesome, trusting while also realistic their family is at the same time is so nice. This got me hooked. thanks!
Wow, he was hella lucky they're so agreeable and understanding. Most folks get real wary when you preamble like that, so it's quite nice they didn't immediately shut him down.
Wait, if she died first, what is the probability she's also here?
Why does the sun have to sit in the distance!? Can't it just pull up its own cushion and turn this square into a circle?
