As Twilight visits princess Celestia in Canterlot, she discovers a bookshelf with just a dozen parchments with neither bad nor good stories. She speaks about them with the princess and, one thing leading to another, Twilight finishes by publishing her own story.

But this story isn't so much about Twilight than about the world of published writers and the one of amateurs writers. And how the limit between both can be very thin.

As Twilight discovers it, it's not always easy to make everpony happy when cutting the cake. And that particular day, it seems that they all went crazy all of a sudden, making such demands that it jeopardizes the simple trivial cutting of the cake.

"I wish to know the truth" said Twilight.
And thus, she is granted the ability to see and know the truth. Only problem is, the truth begins to scare herand she decides to face it, slowly showing signs of madness to her friends who try to help her the best they can.
But one random pink Pony seems not too worried and actually enjoys the situation, even if she also accepts to help in the end, in her own way.

This is no adventure, this is no "lesson zero" or "party of one" in any way. This is merely a reflexion about the truth and the veil.
Nothing more, but, I hope, nothing less.

Twilight has to repair a locomotive after a derailement to escape from the middle of nowhere.
The problem is: she has never done anything like this, she has no idea how to do it, she has no way to do it and, in short, she can't do it.

But her friends still believe in her. In fact, they think it will be a piece of cake for a pony as smart as Twilight.

One morning, Twilight doesn't want to get up.
By chance, she is an over powerful alicorn with godlike powers and there is no rule that say you can't use powers if you've got them, right? What is the worse that could happen...

Not much actually, but still.

One night, Twilight hears a musical piece that touches her so much she feels the need to tell the artist how wonderful it was and thank her.

But some mares like Twilight tend to transform the simplest of things into the most complicated one.

Twilight has just wrapped up synthesizing a chemical in her laboratory, but starts to have an interesting day when she accidentally doses herself with it.

This story is a sequel to A Stitch in Time

Having discovered the message left for her by Star Swirl the Bearded in the distant past, Twilight once again finds herself caught up in the middle of a struggle against forces far greater than herself. In order to even stand a chance she'll need to travel further and wider than she ever has, and forge some unlikely alliances with old enemies. All to bring down the powers that have manipulated and shaped her entire life, and retake control of her own future.
