[hiatus for now, this project is far bigger than I originally planned and I need to rethink some things regarding the story!]
The planet known as Equus is home to many magical and unique creatures. Has the planet had its ups and downs? Yes, with countless challenges that threaten to shake the harmony of the world. However, where there are those who seek to destroy the harmony and peace of the land, there are also those who seek to preserve it. Good has always come out on top, battling against impossible odds and overcoming difficult challenges not through strength, but with wit and kindness.

But now a new change has come to this world, one alien and different then some might like. For Arceus, the creator of all Pokémon, has brought to Equus himself and his people. Can these two different worlds coexist and work to continue a future filled with hope and peace?

For now an old evil awakens, and with him comes about a plan set in motion long before the Princesses of Equestria or many of the other kingdoms that exist in the world. This baddie is back and he's looking to stay, and it is unlikely that he will go down as easy as the other villains the heroes of Equus have had to face.

This is a Non-Canon Wayverse story! This story is inspired by Zeusdemigod131's story, "A New World, A New Way"!

"A New World, An Old God" is also inspired by World Of Warcraft's "Old Gods", Gravity Falls "Bill Cipher", and H.P. Lovecraft's "Outer Gods". Also defined as Eldritch Abominations , these creatures are not of our world nor any other, and are unfathomable in their own regard.

While these creatures are terrifying in their own regard, the story shall take the creatures in a lighter tone, following more along with Adorable Abominations trope. So, don't let this deter you from taking a peak at the story!

'Do not trust an alicorn who weighs any less than her operating manual' - Author of this Guide

Sometimes your alicorn throws a temper tantrum and runs around the house turning off all the lights while declaring herself a new breed of adorable evilness. Sometimes sibling squabbles leave you with a tearful alicorn refusing to raise the moon and allow the day to end. Keep calm and read this guide. This guide will walk you through how to safely contain evil dark pony overlords using readily available household implements such as the humble cardboard box. And if all else fails, it will at least help you make effective use of the astrophysics of alicorn anatomy to manually override the raising, lowering and general joyriding of various celestial bodies.

Published by the Royal Canterlot Publishing House for the Royal Equestrian Diplomatic Mission to Earth. For human audiences only. No alicorns (or humans) were harmed in the making of this guide.

Contains: Princess Luna being generally mischievous and adorable for Hearthswarming Eve. Also contains cardboard. Surprisingly does not contain any bubblewrap for once.

This is a standalone story, but it does sort of have a 'previous episode' you can read here. Reading it is not required to enjoy this particular story, but it's a fun short read in its own right.

Sort of my Christmas fic. I decided to get it done early as I'll be working this Christmas. Again. Happy Hearthswarming, everyone!

But is there more to "Bad Dude" than his cute exterior would suggest?

No. No there is not.

Ponyville's new 'code enforcement professional' has got it into her thick, monotonous head that Fluttershy has too great a density of pet animals, and she's set out to rectify that situation.

Twilight, though, has a problem with this, and she'll have to use her full authority as an alicorn princess to put a stop to it.

The law exists to protect Equestrian citizens, and must be enacted in a fair and even manner. Prince Blueblood knows this; he's accepted punishment for his numerous minor disturbances of the Equestrian legal system, without ever trying to slip out of it.

Fluttershy is in violation the law. Ergo, she must be brought to justice. That's just logic.

Now if only he can get the captain of the guard and his annoyingly lackidasial aunt to cooperate...

Sablewing the Wicked, a black-hearted dragon with an immunity to magic, invades Canterlot with his army of diamond dogs, goblins, and kobolds. As they attempt to defend their kingdom, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are captured and imprisoned by the foul reptile, and he proceeds to take over the entire city. A rescue attempt made by Princess Cadence and Twilight Sparkle is then performed, and immediately thwarted, resulting in their capture as well.

Having used the Elements of Harmony to save the Tree of Harmony recently, and being one pony short of using them anyhow, Twilight Sparkle's friends find themselves in the worst predicament imaginable. After raiding the library in the Castle of the Two Sisters in search of an answer to their problem, they happen upon, and then proceed to use a spell that shoots out into the multiverse in search of brave, suitable heroes to combat this monster.

Answering the call, four strange characters come forth: The Green Knight, Orange Knight, Red Knight, and Blue Knight; each powerful warriors in their own separate rights, who have honed their expertise in the field of beating the ever-living crap out of anything that has the sheer balls to simply be standing in their way.

Having been bored out of their minds in their home dimension (and being threatened that they would never return should they decide not to help), the four knights jump to the challenge to RIP AND TEAR and rescue some more princesses. They set off, weapons and sandwiches in hand, to kick some monster butt, crash some castles, and take names as violently as physically possible!

...Oh, and a certain mailmare with strabismus joins along on the mad adventure.

The village had been perfect, free from the inequality and misery rampant throughout the rest of Equestria. Then Twilight Sparkle and her so-called friends arrived and ruined everything.

But all hope is not lost. Starlight Glimmer has a plan to restore her lost utopia on a much vaster scale.

After all, it's not like that purple princess was friends with anything worse.

Book 1: In 2095 A.D., the US launched the first Colony Ship, headed for Centaurus: a planet in Alpha Centauri's habitable zone. The ultimate space race had been won. 40,000 Americans would arrive in ten years and found the first human colony outside our system, all for America. But in 2100, the ship vanished. The "Lost Colony" was never found.

6000 years later, the colonists found a way home from the system the accident sent them to: one of four human nations forged from the survivors of the crash had opened the EarthGate, giving them control over contact with Earth, which they visited immediately, only to find something had beaten them to the cradle of humanity and had wiped all traces of humanity from its surface,

(The Saga now has it's own group! You can find it here! The forums has information on the details of the Alternate Universe, and anyone can join. You can only contribute if you're ranked higher than user, though.

A crossover between Sid Meier's Civilization II: Test of Time's Scifi mode (it's a really awesome experience for those of you who haven't played it. Plus, Scifi mode is already a crossover between Civ and Master of Orion!) and The Conversion Bureau! Earth fell to ponification in 8080 A.D., only twenty years before the Lost Colony opened the gateway home. This was going to be a single fic, but due to a suggestion from Safhell, who preread the chapters I have at the time of posting this, it's being split into a saga! This first story is the introduction, and from there, the story will split into multiple paths following different characters and situations during the ensuing conflict until a conclusion fic is added to end the saga with the grand finale! (If you guys don't like the idea of it being a saga instead of a standalone, let me know, and if enough of you are against the saga idea, I'll just merge them all into this fic).

Please leave constructive criticism for anything I could do better, for I know this fic is far from perfect. Just remember that a lot of things use the mindset present in all Sid Meier's Civilization games, so logic is a bit skewed at times when compared to how things work in the real world (such as the colony ship being all citizens of the nation that launched it and not multinational. It's just how Sid designed the games).
