“Sometimes, you can’t have the family you want. Even if you’d give anything for it.”

For Sunburst, risen from obscurity to Court Wizard of the Crystal Empire, life has taken an incomparably good turn. Shining Armor and Cadence have almost become a second family to him, and Princess Flurry Heart like the daughter he never had.

Hoops, by contrast, has lived life on his terms since day one. With flight school behind him, his career in the professional leagues ought to be all but guaranteed—if only the pros would let him in already.

And when Sugarcube Corner burns down, it should not affect either of them.

Yet, when façades start to fracture, their connections to Ponyville's model family will threaten even the most sacred bonds. Before long, Sunburst, Hoops, and the Cakes will all have to decide if the past can be buried again, or if the old, comfortable stories just aren't enough anymore. In only one way, they are all alike: To get what they want, they are all willing to risk shattering every life around them—and maybe even their own.

STAR WARS - EMPIRE'S EDGE

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Tyranny! The evil Galactic Empire rules the galaxy with an iron fist. As the Emperors war machine continues to devour every system in its path, brave freedom fighters meet it on every front. It is a time of great sacrifice. Heroes are everywhere. In the outer rim, a fearless band of rebels stand in the Empires path and total domination. PHOENIX SQUADRON, as the band of renegades is called, fights for the liberty of their home planet LOTHAL, in hopes that one day the fighting will bring about a lasting peace.

But peace will come at a cost. In retaliation to the growing threat, GRAND MOFF TARKIN has ordered a trap be set for the rebels, appointing a new INQUISITOR to see it through. Now, with the Empire in hot pursuit, HERA SYNDULLA, Captain of Phoenix Squadron, makes a daring escape to an uncharted planet, desperate to ensure the survival of her friends, and crew. Now, cut off from their allies, the members of the Ghost crew will prepare to fight for their lives, and the lives of the new friends they've made while stranded on the mysterious planet...

Star Wars: Empires Edge is a story set just before the season 2 finale Star Wars Rebels and the season 8 finale of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I started this project back in 2016 before both shows ended, but couldn't make the time to release it until now. I would appreciate feedback in the comment section below! Thanks!

UPDATE 5/16/23 New chapters incoming! After failing to releasing smaller chapters weekly as I had intended back in the day, I will be releasing mega-chapters condensing the smaller chapters into it. Stay tuned for me just around the corner! :scootangel:

Star Wars - Empire's Edge had lots of artwork poured into it! Among my favorites is Kai Dorrel—the main antagonist of the story which has a close up of him that can be found here: https://chadbane.deviantart.com/art/Star-Wars-Kai-Dorrel-748061940?ga_submit_new=10%3A1528059429

Not because the Order is preventing her, but because her home is an undiscovered planet. There are no records of its existence, and the Republic and the Order are clueless of its whereabouts. She’s alone.

Note: This is an original story taking place during the Knights of the Old Republic Timeline. Approximately, three-thousand years before the Battle of Yavin. Legends continuity will be used as source material.

This story is a sequel to Laws of Celestial Motion

There are many things that William Shakespeare finds amusing: insulting in Old English, insulting royalties, insulting people who easily get offended, and insulting royalties who easily get offended in Old English.

One thing he doesn't find amusing, though, is losing.

There are many things that Princess Luna is known for: she likes to speak in Old Ponish, she's royalty, she easily gets offended, and she is a royalty who easily gets offended in Old Ponish.

And, known only to her sister, an undefeated champion of archaic insults.

Beware inappropriate jokes told in Early Modern English.
