Back inside Stable 4, I was destined for greatness. Outside, I was nothing more than a filly. At the same time, I also seemed to fit in very well into the horribly violent Equestrian wasteland, more than you would expect from somepony my age.

I've always had doubts, what does it feel like to kill a character (according to me you have a lot of affection for her) like Candy?

I appreciate you answering my questions, because this grumpy heart never liked "Fallout Equestria" and its spin-offs, so I don't know much about it.
jajja that's why I love you, because despite having this grumpy heart, I've grown fond of your art. Thanks <3

Reasons to read The Prey and the Lamb:
- Grimdark.
- Themes such as the subconscious/dreams.
- Original characters (you'll hate/love to get attached to them).
- Original and unique story/drama/plot.
- Psychological.
- Philosophical (as a critique of human/pony society).
- It may be many chapters/words, but rest assured that if you like it, the number won't matter, worse!!! you don't want it to end.

It's a weird feeling. On the one hand, I think to myself "she didn't deserve this, why am I doing it to her", along with a dose of "do I really need to?". On the other hand… There's the knowledge that it makes the fic into what it is, and that it will hopefully evoke the same feeling of "this isn't fair" in the reader. That part is almost satisfying. I watched one of my irl friends read her death, and seeing him tear up made me really proud of my work.

That's fair. I've come to realise I don't like the same things as other people about Fo:E. I like the tragic, dark setting, but I don't like the whole "big bad hero goes through the wasteland being a big bad hero and saves everypony, the end". It's why I like Murky Number Seven and Project Horizons more than the original Fo:E.

Yeah I've heard many good things, and it definitely sounds like my kind of read. Finding the time to read it is another issue, but I'll hopefully get around to it eventually.
I almost missed those comments because of how Fimfiction marks comments as read.
I see Candy met with the gigachad that is Teal'c at some point.

I have to admit, I have no idea who Teal'c is
They're finally back...
Still haven't read PH. Ah well.

I would only recommend it if you either
- have nothing better to read
- intend on stopping after chapter 33 (or was it 32?). It's a natural stopping point anyway.
It's really good until that point, but keeps dropping in quality afterwards, and there are no more good stopping points afterwards.
wow I loved that chapter, I'm starting to sound a bit like a broken record but I'm just so engaged in the story that I don't have much else to say than that
glad to see sonata take a step back and candy and iron being reunited
also, I forgot to say it then but nice sneaky reference to mn7 with chainlink shackles

I'm really glad you think so. I'm always worried how that particular point will come across to any active reader ^^'
11572725
Maybe so, but I hugely appreciate your comments regardless
And fun fact, I tried to gently imply that Chainlink was also the one who managed to break Cherry
11572751
didn't catch that one but in hindsight I sure can recognize the kind of methods he'd use
If Candy really wanted to kill Iron, she'd have closed in fast and engaged her in a wrestling match. Tall stickbug pony does not beat Unicorn of Unusual Stronkness.

You uncultured swine, you.
V_for_Vodka might have been referring to this speech in Stargate, as it is remarkably similar to the one Watcher gives to Blackjack.
I haven't seen Stargate SG1 in a very long time... I need to rectify that.

(Spoilered because not technically canon but strongly implied) To be fair, she did try. Her heart wasn't in it, so Iron had time to teleport out of the way.
Guilty as charged.
>speech
Yeah, I ended up seeing it. It's pretty amazing.
