"Mom!" Ash currently cried out as his own mother was holding onto Sir Aaron's staff, using it as an exercise object. "That's Sir Aaron's Staff!" It's meant to be cool and important!"

"I know but it has surprisingly good flexibility! Are you sure this is made from wood?" Delia whistled while watching TV, wearing her exercise clothing and utilizing the staff.

"Kinda excepted this to happen a bit..." Ash sighed as Pikachu patted him on the back.

"Pikachu."

"But in any case, you're going to solve that Aura problem for everyone?" Delia asked.

"Right. Until I sort it out, I'll return the staff." Ash nodded. "I just gotta be careful I don't push it any further, ya know."

"That's good. But make sure to enjoy your summer in the meanwhile instead of getting too caught up in it." Delia pointed the staff at Ash.

"You bet. I kinda wanna check out that human world Sunset Shimmer lives in. Oh! And Princess Fluttershy should be showing up at any time to see the Pokemon! And there's the other world's out there, getting the-"

"Alright, alright, I get it. You have a lot to look forward to." Delia chuckled. "Go on. You deserve all the fun after that whole invasion spiel. As for me. It's back to Undella Town~!"

"Right! See ya later, mom!" With that, Ash and Pikachu gave their goodbyes to Delia Ketchum yet again as they rushed out of the Ketchum household.

"Pika-Pika!"

Equestria. Ponyville. The Pokemon House.

"Chikori!" Chikorita had reunited with Fluttershy since last night. After being away from her trainer for hours on end during the invasion while she was healing was a bit much for the Leaf Pokemon as she was bawling while being held by Fluttershy.

"There, there. I'm back now." Fluttershy comforted the Grass-Type. "I'm okay and safe. See?"

"Ugh...Why are they latching onto us, too?!" James cried out as some of the Pokemon here were hugging onto him, Jessie, Meowth, Wobbuffet and Zecora.

"Well, they like you, don't they?" said Fluttershy as she was also being hugged by numerous Pokemon who had missed her. This whole time, they had the Pokemon House as their own shelter with Krookodile as the guard. None were harmed during the invasion thankfully. "After you all came to live here, you've been taking really good care of them all. So they'd miss you without a doubt."

"Y-Yeah...!" Jessie growled as a Totodile was gnawing on her head.

"Toto!"

"Okay, you all. Give them some space to breathe." Fluttershy spoke to all of the Pokemon as they listened to her command, separating from Team Rocket and Zecora each, allowing them to breathe.

"Ah..." Jessie sighed as she sat back down. "All I wanted was to sleep the day and night away after all that invasion nonsense."

"Weren't we gonna contact the boss about a secret base?" Meowth whispered to Jessie and James.

"No need for that just yet!" James stood up with a Cacnea biting on his hair. "We've got one already right here!" With a quick swipe and flashy movement of his hands, James pointed at the most prominent thing here besides the Pokemon House.

Just near the entrance to the Pokemon House was the ship that Team Rocket had commandeered and claimed as their own ever since the invasion. The giant R was still plastered on it. They had truly claimed it as they were now officially keeping it with them.

"Oh my. You're actually keeping it?" Fluttershy turned to James.

"Mhm!" James crossed his arms while nodding. "Princess Celestia even decided that we can keep it because of our help. This is now officially the Team Rocket Cruiser!"

"All we need to do is get rid of that drab grey colours and add something spicier and it'll be perfect and adorable as a Smoochum!" Jessie gave a thumbs up.

"Oh! Does that mean you're going to help against threats with it too?!" Fluttershy flew up, ascending from the ground.

"Well..." James scratched the back of his hair. He knew that this ship would now only exist for Team Rocket purposes. Purposes that many wouldn't be fond of considering Jessie, James and Meowth's occupation.

"Ah, you don't have to worry about that." Jessie rubbed her hands together. "Just know that it's in better hands than those invaders, okay? We'll make it child-friendly too!"

"Great for all ages!" Meowth nodded with his eyes closed.

"Wobbuffet!"

"Um...Okay. As long as you're careful with it." Fluttershy had faith in them. And with that faith, Team Rocket felt some new pressure being put on them. They could've sealed their fate with this promise. "But before you can do any of that, do you think you can help me for a few weeks. Since it's summer, a lot of Trainers are going to come over. Plus some Pokemon needed to be taken care of because of all of the heat. Good or bad."

"Count on us!" Team Rocket said in unison.

"Wobbuffet!"

Twilight's Castle.

"Okay!" Starlight sat down on a large pillow in the shape of a Venusaur. "I'll be a Pokemon Professor soon. So my training is gonna start pretty soon.

"Are you sure you know how to be a Pokemon Professor?" Nyx asked.

"It's fine. I mean, I've been learning from Twilight since she's a Pokemon Professor too. So I've picked up a few things here and there." Starlight put her hooves behind her head while the vines from the Venusaur pillow covered her eyes. "By the way, where is Twilight?"

"Oh. Mo- I mean, Twilight is currently at Canterlot, having a meeting with Princess Celestia and the others. Matters involving every other world and how to better manage the whole Ghetsis and Empress Twilight threat." Nyx explained.

"Oh, yeah. By the way, Nyx...You kinda always stutter on something when mentioning Twilight's name."

"Oh. D-Do I?" Nyx scrunched her face as she knew that Starlight was onto her at this point.

"Yeah. Almost like you're trying to say something. Like, mom..." The unicorn narrowed her eyes, looking at Nyx with a sceptical gaze. "What's up with that?"

"Well um...Slip of the tongue. I mean, it's a common occurrence whenever I'm speaking to somepony. I have the urge to almost let out the word mother or mom. Ah, not that there's a reason as to why those two words come to mind first."

"...You've never slipped up with me." Starlight shook her head. "Neither with Sunset, Cocoa or anypony. Just Twilight."

"Ah!" Nyx froze as Starlight herself was starting to put the pieces together. It didn't take long for her to realize what exactly this meant. With her eyes becoming bug-eyed and her mouth opening with her lip dropping, Starlight had figured it out with her brain racing.

"Wait! In your world! Is Twilight your..."

"Mother? Yes..." Nyx sighed as she lowered her head. "Adopted mother actually. No biological relation."

"Oh!" Starlight sat up. "So then, why not tell her that? Unless..."

"Well, it started with one universe, then another, then the cycle kept repeating itself until I reached a point where I became nigh-unable to fully admit who I view Twilight as!" Nyx rambled. "How embarrassing."

"Ah, don't worry about it." Starlight teleported, appearing next to Nyx and giving her a comforting pat. I've been there before. Sorta. Just tell Twilight. She'll understand. I mean, the same thing happened with the older Princess Flurry Heart during the invasion."

"Right. I should most definitely-" Just as Nyx was about to fully respond to Starlight, an immediate crash could be heard just nearby this room. The sound of something being knocked over. Whether on purpose or by accident.

With that sound, the two ponies were put on high alert as they immediately looked at each other for a few seconds before looking at the direction the sound originated from.

"That came from the gateway to secret base..." Starlight said under her breath as she Nyx immediately rushed over to the nearby gateway, just located at the next door up ahead. From that sound, they were hoping that no one from Team Plasma had found their way here. Team Plasma still governs Pyrestar's world after all even with the castle destroyed.

They weren't going to teleport towards the room since they could leave themselves wide open. Instead, they were going to be sneaky about it. They carefully approached the room by trotting carefully there.

Starlight gently took her Poke Ball out with her magic, preparing to use Hatterene just in case while Nyx was ready to use her own magic on whatever grunt my be there.

But, as they finally approached the door, Starlight rapidly opened it to startle the grunt as she raised her Poke Ball high while shouting. "Aha!"

"Oh!" There was indeed someone there. But it wasn't Team Plasma Grunt. It wasn't instead a small group of unicorns who were all wearing alicorn amulets.

"Oh. Wait. You're not Team Plasma." Starlight placed the Poke Ball down.

"S-Sorry for the intrusion!" The unicorns apologized.

"Those amulets...You're from Pyrestar's world, aren't you?" Starlight said.

"Correct. We just came here from that gateway nearby." A unicorn pointed his hoof over at the gateway that led to the secret base. "We were just a bit curious and everything."

"In truth, we came here to see if we could find the one who saved us." Another unicorn stepped forward. "His name was...Ash Ketchum right?"

"Oh, Ash!" Starlight exclaimed. "So you're from where Canterlot originally was!"

"He stopped Team Plasma and freed our home from Ghetsis. However, the rest of Equestria is still under Team Plasma's control. We were hoping if we could request Ash Ketchum's help again if possible."

"Please. He restored hope to all of us. Our land is prospering again with grass appearing. We thought that it would never return for the centuries we've been alive."

"Centuries...? Wait. You are unicorns...right?" Nyx narrowed her eyes.

"We are. But the Alicorn Amulets give life as long as actual alicorns. We've been around longer than our actual lifespans. Everypony was given amulets one year after Grogar sealed everything away."

"One year...does that mean your world's Rarity is still out there?!" Starlight gasped.

"She is. But she's no longer in Ponyville." A unicorn shook her head.

"Drat. At least we know it's not all lost." Starlight looked at Nyx. "Oh and about Ash. He could be here. But he does love exploring the world a lot, ya know. So, catching him might be difficult."

"Oh..." The unicorns sighed.

"But it's fine. I mean, you can always come back any time. This gateway's exclusive. And we didn't think anypony else would find the gateway. Aside from Luster Dawn that is."

"We can? Oh, thank Pyrestar! We've also missed a place as comforting as this!"

"You have no idea." Nyx shook her head. "You can see this world for yourself and how wonderful it is. I know I certainly did when arriving here for the first time."

An offer had been made. The unicorns of Pyrestar's world could experience a safer and cleaner world than the one they currently had. At least, until their world fully restores itself. This world had so much that they had missed. Not just the grass but water too.

Most cooks are earth ponies. And with no earth ponies, those that could cook were essentially gone aside from a few unicorns that knew cooking skills. But the number of unicorn cooks are very rare and little in numbers. But that was all about to change. Starlight and Nyx would guide and allow them to experience happiness along the way.

Although, this'll be surprising to explain to Twilight when she gets back.

Canterlot Castle. Day.

As Starlight said, Twilight was an important meeting with Princess Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Chrysalis and Pyrestar altogether. And with the inclusion of the other Celestia from the Empress' world.

"Celestia! Welcome!" Celestia said to her other-self.

"You as well, Celestia!" The second Celestia spoke as they both laughed after mentioning their names twice. Getting used to two Celestia's in the room would take some time. Technically three if Pyrestar is counted.

"Now that we're all here, we can start this meeting." Celestia looked at everyone as they all stood around a roundtable, ready to begin this discussion. "Now then. As I said yesterday, we'd be establishing something that could help against Team Plasma and the Twilight Imperium. Other worlds have either been taken by her rule with magic missing or are either unaware of her existence and are in danger of being conquered as well."

"We've already opened the Magic Siphoning Jar and released the magical essences within it. They should flow back t their original universes. I saw something like that happen when I went through the human world." Twilight explained, referring to the time when Adagio still had full control of the Magic Siphoning Jar.

"About the jar. Where did you put it?" Cadence asked.

"The Ambrosial Plane. My mother and father chose to keep it there, making it unreachable to anypony else. Since Empress Twilight can't access that plane of existence or even has any knowledge of it, she won't be able to retrieve the jar at all. It's the perfect hiding place."

"Ooh..." Cadence nodded in approval.

"Now. About the other worlds. There exists a Princess Fluttershy from what we know of Ash's encounter. So she's something to keep in mind. We should get in contact with other universes and see if they are willing to assist in preparing for threats such as those two forces. If possible, we can warn other worlds out there by staying connected with them. Any time the Twilight Imperium or Team Plasma show up, one world can give out a warning signal. Or even better, if there's a chance that they're approaching there, we can be prepared before they can arrive."

"That is if they are fine with that decision." Luna looked at her big sister.

"That's why we'll be asking them. If not then, that will be a shame. But, the worlds that have already been conquered, we can most certainly do something about that. I issue a Universal Alliance. We've already technically started with my other self and Pyrestar. And to an extent, the older Flurry Heart."

"Since I originate from the Empress' world, I can vouch and speak for the other conquered universes." The second Celestia said. "My word of the Empress' defeat has already spread out across my Equestria."

"Splendid!" Celestia grinned. "Now. Here's what we'll do. We're the only world with the Telepathy Spell at our disposal. If we can teach it to them, communication will be easier. We'll also have the gain access to Universal Teleportation. There aren't enough of those Travel Spheres to go around. But, we do have a way of summoning the gateways with our magic. The Empress could already do so with her own magic, meaning that there exists a way to perform it. Or perhaps, Jackie could further grab some of those Travel Spheres for us. Or even have someone invent some more. Colress isn't the only smart individual from the Pokemon World after all."

"The third option sounds best." Pyrestar nodded, agreeing that someone else smart could invent the Travel Spheres instead.

"Right. Now, we should also" Celestia's voice faded in the background as three individuals were watching through the door, standing next to the guards.

Adagio, Flurry Heart, and Premium Polish.

"Even after all of that, they're still busy, aren't they?" Premium Polish spoke.

"Well, they're princess and queens. They have important things to do if they want to protect their subjects and everything else." Flurry Heart responded.

"Then why aren't you there?" Adagio said, looking up at Flurry Heart.

"Ah...I'm not that important. I mean, I don't think I am." The alicorn squeed. "But you might end up being important yourself, Adagio."

"Me" Adagio pulled back.

"Oh yes. After all, you're now Celestia's student. How neat is that?" Flurry Heart nodded. "You could end up becoming like Twilight and-"

"Please don't compare me to her..." Adagio groaned.

"Oh, sorry. But you could become an alicorn too! If that happens."

"Nah. Pass." Adagio shook her head. "I think I'll stick to having this unicorn horn. Besides, I already have wings. My siren wings are still with me."

"And they're super colourful too." Premium Polish put her hooves on Adagio's wings, making the pony-siren-hybrid frown with a sigh.

"But if I become her best student...then I'd be even better than Twilight. Without even having to be an alicorn myself. Oooh..." Adagio, in her usual self, was thinking about upping Twilight about everything as she silently chuckled whilst rubbing her hooves together.

Adagio has changed but her personality remains ever the same. And no one would have it any other way.

"Say. Do you wanna open Pokemon Cards with me for the time being?!" Flurry Heart put her hooves around Premium Polish and Adagio. "It's my new favourite hobby, ya know!"

"Cards...?" Adagio squinted, looking at the alicorn with eyes of confusion.

"Yeah!" But Premium Polish was up for it since she enjoyed opening cards with Flurry Heart. And poor Adagio had been dragged along as they were all heading for Premium's room whilst Celestia and everyone else further discussed plans for the future.

Ponyville. Afternoon.

"Ponyta! Use Flame Charge!" Right now, Scootaloo was training with her ace Pokemon Ponyta. And her training partner was Sweetie Belle. Both of them were looking for one main objective.

To evolve their Pokemon. One for Gym Battles and the Equestria League and the other for Pokemon Contests and the Grand Festival. They needed their Pokemon to become stronger than ever and flashier. And right now, just arriving in Ponyville not too long ago, Ash was mentoring them both. With the addition of Rainbow Dash.

Dawn couldn't make it here unfortunately to teach Sweetie Belle about any contest tricks but Ash, after his time with May and Dawn could assist in that category a bit.

"Espurr, use Disarming Voice!"

"Espurr!" The Restraint Pokemon opened her mouth, unleashing a charming pink soundwave with purple hearts surrounding it.

"Ponyta!" The Fire Horse Pokemon coated his body in flames before charging right at Espurr. His body came in contact with Disarming Voice as he was now trying to break through the soundwave with his flames.

They cancelled each other out with Ponyta sliding back whilst the soundwaves had been burnt away by Flame Charge as Ponyta's speed increased.

"Use Psyshock!"

"Purr!" Espurr put her hands together before materializing a wave of Psychic energy.

"Fire Spin, Go!"

"Pony...Ta!" With the speed increase, Ponyta charged up his attack faster than Espurr. His mouth flared up with flames before shooting a spiralling wave of fire faster than Espurr could fire.

"Esp!" But, Espurr could still fire even if she was let. She thrust her hands forward, sending the Psychic wave forward. Both waves collided with each other, entering a beam struggle. Both Ponyta and Espurr were already aiming to win this struggle as they could be seen grunting while pushing their moves.

Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle bit their hooves, hoping that their own partners would succeed in this. The result was that Ponyta had more to give out as his flames erupted, intensifying as a response to his burning passion.

His flames broke through Espurr's beam with the flames turning into a darker scarlet colour. Espurr's already widened eyes widened even further as she saw her attack become fully engulfed. And before she knew it, she had been struck and sent spiralling within the scarlet flames.

"E-E-Espurr!"

"Not my Espurr!" Sweetie Belle gasped as the fire had separated. And once they did, Espurr tumbled on the ground with flames trailing around her. Despite all of that, Espurr was still up.

"Purr." The Restraint Pokemon sat up as she held her head. Flames were also seen spurting out of her body too.

"That's good you two." Ash clapped whilst looking at the two ponies. "Simple but effective."

"Mhm." Rainbow Dash nodded in agreement.

"Still no evolution though." Scootaloo groaned. "Doesn't it happen sometimes in the middle of a battle?"

"Gotta give it time, Scoots." Rainbow Dash flew over. "I mean, I wanna see Rapidash too but, ya know..."

"No need to worry." Ash kneeled down whilst looking at the two fillies. "They'll evolve for sure soon. Most of the time it's when the battle ends. The chances of it happening during the battle is kinda rare sometimes."

"Ponyta." Just then, Ponyta was showing signs of evolving with his body flashing. But, it promptly stopped as Scootaloo's high hopes had been dropped a bit.

"Darn it." She stomped her hooves. "So close! I also have to evolve Horsea and the rest of my Pokemon. I need new Pokemon too!"

"My contest is coming up in just 5 days. I need to do something new and flashy that'll really impress the judges. I cant' do the same thing over and over again." Sweetie Belle said.

"Then let's have another at it, okay?" Ash said as he had encouraged the two fillies, aiming to get them their evolutions.

"Pikachu."

"Oh yeah! And maybe, just like Spike, we can go on our own journey!" Scootaloo exclaimed.

"Your own journey? Are you sure about that?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well, yeah. I mean, we're around Spike's age, right? Plus it'll be super fun, ya know."

"Mhm." Sweetie Belle agreed. "Apple Bloom even planned ahead of us just a few days ago. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are even considering it. Hoenn and Sinnoh are on our eyes."

"I thought we planning to go to Unova or Alola?" Scootaloo looked at the unicorn.

"Well, yeah but Unova's super hot in the summer. And Alola's already hot enough. Something cool would be nice. Sinnoh's cold so that might be a good place to go to. Or Kalos. That sounds great too. What do you think, Ash? Rainbow Dash?"

"Wherever you all wanna go is up to you." Ash nodded.

"Just make sure you don't get lost or cause a bunch of trouble, okay?" Rainbow Dash rubbed Scootaloo's head, making her giggle. "We'll get you something to pack along the way. I went over Soarin's home and he's got some pretty good cold drinks you can take with you."

"Neat!" Scootaloo exclaimed.

"Ugh...Hope none of them are ginger." Sweetie Belle stuck her tongue out, having a distaste for the flavour and taste of ginger and anything related to it.

Out in Equestria. A vast marshland.

Despite everything that has happened ever since the invasion, other forces who are arguably far more dangerous have been watching over everything. Two of those forces include Lucien and Sienna. Both of who were trying to come up with events so great that it'll far surpass the Rift's expectations.

More importantly, an event that will surpass the invasion by a milestone. Despite them being separate and competing against each other, they found themselves on the same clouds together.

"That invasion was something. But nothing I can't top." Lucien shook his head.

"Hmph. Whatever you say." Sienna smirked.

"What? Do you think you've already got something?"

"Oh, I do indeed. I've found something that can be way better than that whole invasion. While you were busy figuring out what to do to go all over the top and stuff, I've been exploring the rest of Equestria."

"And?"

"And, I found something neat along the way." Sienna pointed up. "There's something up there in the sky. Something that not even any pegasus knows of."

"In the sky? Are you talking about those sky islands from that board game? Cause that's already been done."

"Nope. Even better. But I won't tell you. You're just gonna have to wait and see." Sienna giggled as she rode on a cloud, flying away. "It'll blow everything out of the water!"

"Yeah! Well, good luck trying to get Ash and the others there in the first place!" Lucien shouted while Sienna flew off. "...She probably can. But...what if I added my own touch to it?" Lucien rubbed his hands, already planning to interfere with Sienna's plans.

Their little competition was just getting started. Whatever is up in that sky that Sienna found has yet to be revealed. Then again, there was more in Equestria hiding in secrecy. More lands and locations have yet to be discovered and may only be known by very few. Whatever comes next is a scenario that humans, ponies, Pokemon, dragons and other species will have to tackle together as the journey continues.
