Ohh, I wonder what the bloody horn rebellion was about.
And scout the changling is relegated to background pony status. Still, yay scout!
6133499 Not for long, I can promise you that.
So many threads to keep straight in this story

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.
This story is weird. Reads like it was meant to be clop with plot but became plot with clop instead.
Like, really, there are a lot of interesting headcanons in it. Especially about the five tribes and princesses.
I'll keep reading as long as TwiLuna stays pure (no stallions) and 'cheating' is limited to Cadey/Shiny/Chryss.
Keep Trixie and Dash away from Twilight. Herm!Trix + Estrus!Twi is a recipe for Drama.
Good work on writing a believable Celestia/Discord!
Usually I hate any pairing with Discord, but here he's not too obnoxious. More like clueless.
Oh and please tell me the nobles experimenting on creating a fake alicorn will die in a gruesome way?
They're playing with forces that should be left alone...
I have said it before and i'll say it again Luna needs to impregnate twilight or twilight needs to impregnate luna or they need to impregnate each other. if and when celestia finds out she needs to get her crossbow and they can have a crossbow wedding, before rainbow dash or futa trixie, ruins the adorkable relationship blooming between the two of them.
6470512 There's several different 'arms' of Equestria's military.
The Royal Agents: After Celestia managed to diplomatically secure a peace-accord between the various races on the continent a few hundred years ago, she led the way by demilitarizing Equestria, dissolving the law that forced all ponies to join the army when coming of age and rolling many non-combat wings of the army into the civilian industries that make Equestria the economic and political power-house it is today. However, she also turned to her best spies and scouts and ordered them to make lives amongst the new 'civilians', to act as her eyes and ears should the neighbouring countries decide to invade again. Over the years, new Royal Agents are recruited from the populace to replace those lost to disaster, age or ill-adventure, and several have been place in Ponyville by Celestia's own hoof in preparation for the events of the return of Nightmare Moon. Technically the Royal Agents answer only to the Princesses, but often take orders from the Generals and Commanders who may have need of their specific skills. Generally able to pull rank on anyone else other than the Generals, Commanders or Princesses in a time of crisis.
Royal (Border) Guard: Essentially average forces stationed on the borders to provide sentry duty and token military force, also in charge of handling immigration duties. Comprised of Pegasi, Unicorns, Earth Ponies and a smattering of other races. Commanded by Ivory, a Minotaur.
Royal (Palace) Guard: A thousand-strong unit comprised of Earth Ponies, Pegasi and Unicorns, elite troops trained in close-combat and defensive strategies, sworn to defend the Royal Castle and the Princesses at all costs. Commanded by Captain Rosebush, a recent replacement for Shining Armor.
Night Guard or Lunar Guard: Comprised almost exclusively of Bat Ponies (Thestrals), Celestial turned the former troops of her sister into a nocturnal division of spies, scouts and raiders that operated when most Ponies couldn't and their ancient enemies, the Gryphons and Minotaurs, would be at their weakest, which was during the darkest hours of the night. This history has unfortunately helped strengthen the image of Bat Ponies as dangerous ruffians in polite society. Commanded by General Thunderwing.
Royal (Equestrian) Guard: Composed of all types of Ponies as well as other races who have immigrated to Equestria, the Equestrian Guard is commanded by three Ponies, General Rhinestone, General Dart and General Breach. General Rhinestone, an Earth Pony, is an expert of siege warfare, General Dart is a Pegasi and a master of aerial combat, General Breach is a Unicorn and was a member of the Third Circle Magi before taking up his new position and is a powerful magic-user is his own right.
Together, all three command the bulk of the army but defer to each other's strengths when the situation calls for it. The army is divided up by colour, White, Red, Black, Blue and Green, with the Reserves bearing one 'stripe' of colour, enlisted troops who have not seen combat bearing two 'stripes' and combat veterans bearing three 'stripes', meaning the amount of troops in any one unit can fluctuate dramatically.
The Magi: Numbering only a few hundred, the Magi are potent magic-users drawn from Unicorn ranks and tested vigorously not just for magical aptitude but loyalty to Celestia, rather than Equestria. Rank within the Magi is denoted by the number of golden rings on the Unicorn's horn.
The First Circle are powerful but not especially so, and are mostly used to keep the protective wards and enchantments of the Royal Castle functioning as well as to assist the Royal Guards of any particular unit as the situation calls for it.
The Second Circle are slightly more powerful than the First and are trained in medical magic as well as more esteroic forms of magic that have been culled from the public, such as rune-magic, summoning magic and elemental magic. Often found assisting in more hostile settings than the First Circle.
The Third Circle are significantly more powerful than the Second, and are further trained in forms of magic that drift closer and closer towards 'taboo', such as necromancy, telepathic magic and demon-binding. Often called in as special forces to contain situations or magical opponents that the Royal Guards cannot handle without significant casualties.
The Fourth Circle are masters of most known forms of magic and their loyalty to Celestia is known to be fanatical. There is often conflict between the Royal (Palace) Guard and the Fourth Circle Magi over who is most suited to protect Princess Celestia, with the Fourth Circle's senior Magi often trying to undermine non-Unicorns who hold the post of Captain of the Royal Guard out of a belief that only magic can provide a proper defense.
The Fifth Circle is comprised of a single Pony, the leader of the other Magi, a seemingly-ageless Unicorn Stallion called Bleak Mountain, a Neighponese Pony infamous for his spartan lifestyle and strict discipline of the Magi under his command. Possibly the most talented non-ascended magic-user alive amongst the Ponies, if not the most powerful.
