This story is a sequel to The Great Slave King

It has been nearly five hundred years since the events chronicled in the Book of Earth: The Great Slave King transpired. Since then, the man made a god has been busy trying to introduce the technology from the land of his birth to the magical realm of Equestria. As the years passed, the Lord of Earth, no longer a godling, has grown into his powers and has become a force to be reckoned with. Under the tutelage of the Ladies of Air and Summer, he has become as great as any of the other Prime Elemental deities.

With the assistance of his servants, Scourge the Hunter, founder and master of the Order of the Shadow; Arch Duke Fifi le Yipyap, once the Slave King's master now turned slave, and regent of the Domain of Earth; and Nightmare, the Slave King's first creation and constant companion, he has turned the wild and untamed lands of his realm into a wealthy and prosperous nation.

Now approaching his five hundredth year as the Lord of Earth, the Slave King is about to meet the greatest threat he has ever faced. Once again, the Slave King must stand alone against a unified pantheon plotting his downfall and eventual reenslavement. When presented with the pantheon's final ultimatum, will he stand his ground and fight, capitulate to their many demands, or twist their schemes against them?

The Well of Eternity a place lost to time, is the birthplace of Equestria's various deities. King, a mortal man from Earth slips between the cracks that separate worlds. Landing in the unforgiving badlands of greater Equestria, he aimlessly wanders through the unforgiving terrain. Eventually enslaved by diamond dogs, for ten long years he labors under their cruel whips, eventually escaping his captors only to become lost in the depths of Equestria's vast underworld. In the warmth of her cloud home, Rainbow Dash is about to turn in for the night when she hears Scootaloo crying outside in the middle of a vicious blizzard. Plucking the freezing filly from the snow, Rainbow hopes to provide some much-needed comfort for the otherwise tough young pegasus, but she uncovers a disturbing reality that she knows she cannot handle alone.

Knowing only one pony that could really help her out, Rainbow enlists Twilight’s help, determined to set things straight for Scootaloo. But what Rainbow doesn’t know is that in her efforts to provide a better life for the filly, her friendship with Twilight will develop into something more.

An older, wiser Trixie Lulamoon just so happens to have a somewhat above average student named Sumac Apple, whom she takes to meet with Twilight Sparkle, as Twilight is holding a contest, looking for the best and brightest students.

Sumac Apple just so happens to have a Horrendous Hypothesis that will not only change the lives of himself and Trixie, but holds an ominous warning for all of Equestria.

For Rainbow Danger Dash, it's all about the thrill seeking.

For Miss A.K. Yearling, it is just another day at work.

For Tarnished Teapot, it's just him doing what he does best.

Everywhere these three go, mayhem seems to follow. Sadly, mayhem doesn't pay very well for the mooks that it employs, and very, very few think about the plight of the common henchpony. A.K. Yearling does however, and she cares.

Flicker Nicker, having acquired his cutie mark, takes the first step of many into adulthood. Along with his mother, he travels to Canterlot, where he will join with the Rat Catcher's Guild.
