The Equestrian aviation industry has always prided itself for designing and building great quality aircraft. Its zeppelins and blimps has always been looked at with envy by the entire world for decades.

That was until a few companies from the River Federation created a new class of airships that overshadowed even the best airships from its western counterparts.

And now, these companies were determined to beat their eastern rivals.

Seeing an opportunity, Apollo decides to use his engineering skills and usher in a new age, the jet age.

This story takes place during The Royal Three: season two

This story is a sequel to The Master of the Meta Deck

Following her humiliating defeat, Twilight has gotten advice from Starlight about the best ways to play Animon. She's ready. She can, and will, beat Pinkie, and the Animon World Championship is the place to do it.

Getting into the Championship, though, might be harder than she thinks.

An entry into the third Thousand Words Contest, in the Comedy category.

With some creative negotiations, Lightning Dust managed to snag a date for The Washouts to perform at Canterlot Cloud Stadium, and even got them a decent rate on a hotel for the few days prior to their appearance.

After a period of uncertainty for the flying team, it marked a turnaround that the flight team needed to get back onto a positive trajectory.

Lightning Dust, however, would not be present for the performance.

Two things to note, Twilight will be a fully grown alicorn in this story, and this story will be a twilight, day breaker and heartbreaker romance.
