Nearly two hundred years have passed since the war that ended civilization. Stable 115, located in the once vibrant prairie lands at the edge of Equestria, is home to a young unicorn mare and her precocious filly. Life in the Stable is about stability and routine, and mother and child find comfort from this monotonous existence in each other and their friends.

Update 11/04/2012: To prevent confusion, an explanation about how the chapters are named/numbered. I essentially have the story split into several acts--each act will have a named chapter that precedes the number chapters and are a somewhat separate tale, but will eventually tie into the main story. If I ever manage to finish this (or you figure it out way, WAY before then), then it will hopefully make sense.

This is inspired by Lauren Faust’s recounting of her private story for Zecora’s origin at the Stories and Experiences Panel at Bronycon 2019, August 3rd. It was commissioned and edited by Dragon Turtle.

Over-thinking mundane objects ensue. This isn’t meant to suggest that there are no zebras native to Equestria’s world, but in this fic, Zecora isn’t one of them.

This commission is on hiatus unless the commissioner is able to continue it. If you want to commission extra chapters published as an alternate story, that might be possible though when I'm open for commissions.

Watch as a student named Isaac not only duels to showcase his abilities but to answer the question that has been thrusted upon: What do you duel for? Not knowing the answer Isaac plans to use his dueling skills as a way to help him find the answer to that question. Also he'll be needing some assistance so why not become friends with some of the most popular girls at CHS maybe they can help him see his path. The road ahead is full of many twists and turns. The Human World is seen as the dumping grounds for Equestrian threats that are too much to handle. The biggest, most notable example of which was the Sirens who are now regular human girls trying to get by.

Thankfully, it wasn't that difficult.

After becoming more friendly with the other humans of this world, the Sirens are starting to comprehend strange new human traditions and values such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. However, as Equestria's magic starts to corrupt parts of the city, they have to weigh dealing with their own lives alongside defending against these threats.

Including anything else that just so happens to get left over from Equestrian conflict...
